Head Swap is SpicyAPI's image head swap. It replaces the whole head in a target image with the head from a reference photo, hairstyle, hair colour and silhouette included, keeping the body, outfit, pose and background. Two URLs and an optional seed.

  • silver-hair-onto-armorOutput
    silver-hair-onto-armor

Unlike a face-only transfer, this one carries the hairstyle and the hair colour across with the head, which is why the target puts long pale hair over an open metal collar: the seam sits exactly where the borrowed hair meets the target's shoulder. Everything below that line - the mail, the pose, the cold light running down the links - comes from `image_url` and must not move. `reference_image_url` supplies the head, and there is no prompt to steer the blend.

  • shaved-head-recastOutput
    shaved-head-recast

A shaved head as the target, which is exactly where this endpoint parts company with a face swap: there is no hair to preserve, so the reference's curls have to be built onto the plate from nothing. The tattooed shoulder, the open shirt and the backlit rim are untouched.

  • waist-length-blonde-recastOutput
    waist-length-blonde-recast

The mirror image of a face swap. Here the hair is the loudest thing in the target — waist-length honey waves — and it does not survive: the whole head travels, so the reference's black hair arrives together with the features. The emerald gown, the hand on the banister and the stairwell light stay exactly where they were.

  • costume-recastOutput
    costume-recast

The pattern behind the before-and-after on this page: a costumed body plate as the target plus one consented head reference. Both URLs are placeholders — you host the images and you need a release for the reference head.

  • window-portrait-recastOutput
    window-portrait-recast

The second before-and-after on this page, and a good case for this endpoint: an open neckline means the seam has nowhere to hide, so lighting direction has to match. Both URLs are placeholders, and the still shown was produced with a general prompt-driven image editor as a look reference.

  • stage-relight-recastOutput
    stage-relight-recast

The one case on this page with a male subject and the hardest light to match: a purple key from the left and a warm rim from the right have to be rebuilt on the swapped head, beard and scar included. The seed is pinned so a retry lands in the same place. Both URLs are placeholders — you host the plates, and you need a release for the head. The still shown was made with a general prompt-driven image editor as a look reference.
