ByteDance's Seedance 2.0 image-to-video starts the clip on a still you supply and animates it, with sound in the same pass. Clips run 4 to 15 seconds at 480p, 720p, 1080p or 4K, and an optional closing still makes the shot arrive on a set frame.

tavern-ice-eye-contact `image_url` is the opening frame: a red-haired tavern keeper in a low-cut linen blouse and a laced dark-red leather bodice holds an ice cube over a horn cup, with candle chandeliers, walls of barrels and a crowded hall behind her. The clip follows the prompt beat by beat: the ice drops into the cup, she folds her forearms on the counter, leans toward the camera and runs one fingertip along the laced edge of her bodice, holding the camera's eye with a slow half-smile. `aspect_ratio` `3:4` keeps the portrait frame, and `generate_audio` is `false`, so the clip is silent.

storm-forecourt-step-out Lightning is the hard part: a single frame that goes white and drops back, on top of rain sheeting off a canopy edge in front of the lens and a slow dolly past the pump. The prompt opens by insisting on photorealistic live action, which is worth doing whenever a scene is this stylised — otherwise it drifts toward illustration.

dawn-to-dusk The two keyframes are one rooftop shot twice — flat grey morning, amber sunset — so the model covers a transition it already has both ends of. The prompt adds what a still can't: shadows stretching, laundry catching wind. In the output the laundry sits pale under dawn light, then moves and warms to gold by the close, the water tank holding its place. `resolution` is `1080p`.
