A post-apocalyptic scrapyard with figures at three depths: a bandaged figure out of focus up front, a dusty woman in a tank top in focus, two men behind in a shaft of light.

Cinematic film still, post-apocalyptic scrapyard. Close on the middle plane: oil-stained bandages wrapped around a scavenger's torso, sweat cutting tracks through the dust on the skin. Three scavengers occupy three distinct depth planes, the nearest one's oil-stained bandages filling the foreground out of focus, a shaft of dust-thick light cutting diagonally across all three. 35mm, deep staging with shallow focus on the middle plane, heavy grain, rust orange and dust grey, restrained and tasteful.

Why this prompt works

Built for the planning pass this endpoint runs before it draws: three figures placed on three distinct depth planes, focus held on the middle one, and a diagonal shaft crossing all three. Depth staging is what goes wrong when a composition is assembled greedily from the foreground inward - you get three subjects at the same distance. `resolution` is `2k` and `aspect_ratio` is `3:2`, wide enough for the planes to separate laterally as well as in depth.

Settings used

SettingValueWhat it does
resolution2k1k or 2k; 1k by default. 2k carries four times the pixels of 1k, and the shape still follows aspect_ratio.
aspect_ratio3:21:1, 4:3, 3:4, 16:9, 9:16, 3:2 or 2:3. Defaults to 1:1. The pixel budget is the same for all of them, so a wider ratio is wider, not larger.
