Face Swap is SpicyAPI's image face swap. It transfers only the facial features from a reference photo onto a target image, keeping the target's head shape, hair, pose and background. Send two image URLs and an optional seed; no prompt.

These examples were written for this endpoint. Replace the prompt and sample media URLs with your own accessible inputs, then check the current quote and model availability before submitting.

  • silver-bob-recastOutput
    silver-bob-recast

A target picked so you can check what does not move: the blunt platinum bob is the loudest thing in the frame and it comes through the swap untouched, along with the sleeves, the pose and the hard side key. Only the features travel. Both URLs are placeholders — you host the images yourself, and you need a release for the reference face.

  • elf-helm-removedOutput
    elf-helm-removed

This endpoint moves facial features only - head shape, hairstyle, pose and background all stay as the target left them. The target was built with sweat-darkened hair stuck to the pauldrons and torchlight coming from below, so the two things that must survive are easy to check: the hair is still the target's, and the uplight still breaks across the new features the way it broke across the old ones. `reference_image_url` supplies the face, `image_url` everything else.

  • cover-recastOutput
    cover-recast

The pattern behind the before-and-after on this page: a full-layout target frame plus a single consented reference face, everything else left at defaults. Both URLs are placeholders — you host the images yourself, and you need a release for the reference face.

  • rider-recastOutput
    rider-recast

The pattern behind the second before-and-after on this page: a full-length target with a strong magenta and cyan key, plus one consented reference face. Both URLs are placeholders — you host the images and you need a release for the reference face. The still shown was produced with a general prompt-driven image editor as a look reference.

  • sunflower-field-recastOutput
    sunflower-field-recast

A daylight target instead of a lit set: golden-hour backlight, a raised hand across the face and a hat brim in the way. The call is still the same two fields — the frame you produced yourself and the one reference face you are cleared to use. Both URLs are placeholders.

This example starts at $0.013 per image. The Playground updates the estimate when you change the settings.
