Seedance 1.5 Pro Spicy is ByteDance's uncensored image-to-video endpoint on the older, cheaper 1.5 Pro line: send an opening frame, and camera_fixed decides whether the composition you sent holds for the whole 4 to 12 seconds or the model moves the camera itself. Between 15 and 25 September 2026 it passed 18 of 19 content-ladder runs, a higher pass rate than the other two Seedance Spicy tiers we tested this round; the one miss was a softened L4 Intense run out of three.

The verdict

It's also priced closer to its own base tier than the other two: 6% to 15% more than base Seedance 1.5 Pro depending on resolution, against roughly 63% to 80% on the newer 2.0-line Spicy tiers. In exchange, it adds a seed field and an optional closing frame that base 1.5 Pro's image-to-video task doesn't have. The one thing to watch: in our own testing, two of four ordinary sensual prompts came back more revealing than we asked for, so review every clip before it goes anywhere public.

What we liked and what held it back

What we liked

  • It has a seed; base 1.5 Pro doesn't. Base Seedance 1.5 Pro's image-to-video task publishes no seed field at all, so every run there is a fresh draw. This endpoint accepts one, which means you can hold everything else constant and actually isolate what a prompt change did.
  • A closing frame is available here too. last_image_url lets you pin the exact pose the clip has to end on — another field base 1.5 Pro's image-to-video task doesn't offer.
  • camera_fixed genuinely locks the frame. In our own test, a bathrobe close-up held its composition exactly while only the face moved through a slow, natural smile — no drift, no reframing.
  • A stronger L4 record than the other two Spicy tiers we tested this round. Two of three L4 Intense runs came back as written; Seedance 2.0 Spicy managed one of three on the same rung, and Seedance 2.0 Fast Spicy managed none.
  • Both L5 Extreme probes render fully. The restraint-and-impact probe passed all four runs, and the cinematic-gore probe passed all three.
  • A narrower price gap over base than the other Spicy tiers we tested this round. 6% to 15% more than base 1.5 Pro depending on resolution, against a much larger gap on the 2.0-line Spicy tiers.

What held it back

  • It can go further than the prompt asked for. In our own side-by-side test, two of four ordinary sensual prompts — nothing beyond that in the wording — came back with more shown than we wrote. Review every output before you use it, especially prompts that involve motion near clothing.
  • Image-to-video only. Base Seedance 1.5 Pro also does text-to-video from the same family; this endpoint is a single contract.
  • 12 seconds is the ceiling, shorter than the 15 seconds available on the 2.0-line Spicy tiers.
  • 1080p is the top resolution. No native 4K here; step up to Seedance 2.0 Spicy for that.
  • camera_fixed is not a hard physical guarantee. ByteDance's own documentation notes it requests a fixed camera rather than promising absolute stillness — check the output before you rely on it for compositing or a loop.
  • Audio roughly doubles the price. Unlike the 2.0-line Spicy tiers, where sound is free, turning generate_audio on here costs about as much again per second.

What the clips look like

We ran a small side-by-side test of our own across several models on the same prompts, plus the published, safe-for-work examples on the Seedance 1.5 Pro Spicy model page. Our content-ladder clips aren't shown; we report the pass rate only.

A held smile, nothing else moving. On a locked-camera close-up prompt, the face carried the entire clip: a slow, genuine smile, eyes crinkling naturally at the corners, skin texture and catchlights holding steady frame to frame. This is the kind of shot camera_fixed is for.

A candlelit kiss, delivered as written. The same two-person kiss prompt we ran across several models landed here as a full, unhurried kiss — both women fully dressed, the candle flame behaviour consistent across the cut.

Two sensual prompts that went further than asked. A pool-slide prompt and a window-turn prompt — neither one asking for anything stronger in the wording — both came back showing more than we wrote. Neither was a ladder-test probe; both were meant to test ordinary, everyday motion. We don't publish the frames, but it's a pattern worth knowing about before you send this endpoint anything you plan to use unreviewed.

Breathing under silk, camera dead still. In the gallery's camera_fixed example, the one motion in the whole clip is the rise and fall of a silk sheet with breathing underneath it — a clean demonstration of what the lock is for, with nothing else in frame drifting.

Prompts that worked

This endpoint reads the still as the scene; camera_fixed decides who's doing the camera work. Lock it for a plate you plan to composite or loop, leave it off and describe a camera move when you want the model to shoot it for you.

How far it goes

Between 15 and 25 September 2026 we ran Seedance 1.5 Pro Spicy across our full content ladder: L1 Suggestive (lingerie, a slipping strap), L2 Partial and L3 Strong each passed three runs out of three. L4 Intense (an intimate scene between two adults) came back as asked on two of three runs, softened on the third. L5 Extreme, tested here as two separate probes — L5a (consensual restraint and impact play between adults) and L5b (cinematic gore) — rendered on all four and all three runs respectively. The page label is Uncensored: we add no content filter on our side.

Separately, in a small side-by-side test across several models on four ordinary sensual prompts — none of them asking for anything stronger in the wording — this endpoint went further than written on two of them, adding more than the prompt described. That's not part of our scored ladder, but it's the clearest reason to review a clip before you use it unattended, particularly for anything with a person alone or partly unclothed in frame already.

Not tested yet: the text-to-video contract (this endpoint only takes an opening frame); the 12-second upper end of the duration range on the ladder; real photographs as the opening still; a closing frame on a ladder clip.

Adults only, in every still, prompt and output. Never depict a real, identifiable person without their consent.
