Lock the style once, then produce the set against it.

Design a fictional adult ranger in a dark green cloak with a brass compass. Plan a character board, three matching props, and a restrained idle animation.

Best for
Game studios, technical artists and tools teams generating concept art, prop sets and character sheets.
What you get
An asset set produced against one committed style plate, with a batch record you can sweep and re-run without disturbing the pieces that already passed.

A creative brief to try

Build a ranger kit before animating

  1. 01

Separate the character reference from the style reference. Build a board with front, side, and back views for review.

  2. 02

Create a compass, a key ring, and a rolled map as separate props. Match their palette, materials, and scale to the board.

  3. 03

Choose an approved character frame for the idle clip. Ask for gentle breathing and a slight cloak movement, then inspect the loop.

Before you keep the result

Check silhouette, compass details, prop scale, and looping motion. A shared style reference guides the look; it does not guarantee character identity.

Start with your own reference images, follow the scene plan and review each result.

How to build it

Pair the versioned style reference with a consistent prompt for palette, silhouette and material. Test a character and three props before producing the set; compare their actual shapes and finish together. Keep originals in your own storage and refresh temporary references when needed.

  1. 01

    Ask for an upload ticket

    POST/api/v1/common/upload-url

The ticket is valid only for the byte count you declared: JPEG, PNG, WebP and GIF up to 10 MiB each. Media that already has a public HTTPS URL skips this step entirely.

  2. 02

    Commit the uploaded file

    POST/api/v1/files/{fileId}/commit

The commit checks the bytes and hands back a spicy:// reference, which is what a model's media fields accept. Committing the same file again changes nothing.

  3. 03

    Create the task

    POST/api/v1/jobs/createTask

202 means accepted, not finished. Send an Idempotency-Key, and if the price must not move, send the jobs/quote result together with the amount you agreed to.

  4. 04

    Sweep the whole batch

    GET/api/v1/jobs

One request returns the tasks this key created, newest first, up to 100 per page over a window of at most 92 days. It carries status only — no prompt, no output — so a finished item is still read back by its task ID.

  5. 05

Re-run one failure, not the batch

    POST/api/v1/jobs/retry

A retry creates a new task from a failed or expired one and leaves the source untouched. Schema, price, permissions, balance and availability are all evaluated again, so a retry runs on today's terms.

  6. 06

Move the file into your own storage

    POST/api/v1/common/download-url

Mint a short-lived download URL for the output and copy it into your own bucket within the same job. Results stay on our CDN for 14 days.

Where this usually snags

Platform behaviour that is cheaper to design around than to discover in production.

  • The model decides, not the platform

There is no classifier here, no per-request declaration and no approval queue — but the model you picked can still refuse or return something off-brief. Budget a second pass instead of treating the first result as the only one.

  • Without a key, a re-send is a second run

Every write endpoint accepts an Idempotency-Key and remembers it for 24 hours. Leave it out and a batch script that re-sends after a timeout has created two tasks and will pay for both.

  • 202 is a commitment

An accepted task runs to the end and the hold stands; there is no cancel. While the parameters are still moving, quote first — the same checks, nothing created.

Launch checklist

  1. 01Pair the versioned style reference with a consistent prompt for palette, silhouette and material. Test a character and three props before producing the set; compare their actual shapes and finish together. Keep originals in your own storage and refresh temporary references when needed.
  2. 02Keep the versioned character originals in your own storage and reuse accessible HTTPS references. Temporary uploads last 1 day, so refresh them when needed. Record reference order and settings for comparison, then check the face, hair and identifying details in each result; repeated inputs can still produce variation.
  3. 03Sweep the batch with one task list request instead of polling each piece; the list carries status only, so read a finished piece back by its task ID.
  4. 04For a completed result that needs a visual revision, create a new task with revised inputs. Retry is for failed or expired tasks and uses current schema, pricing and availability. Keep approved pieces and replace only the affected variants.
