What this effect sends

This is the full prompt, word for word. Copy it, or open it in the generator and change anything you like.

The person keeps one shoulder leaning against the door frame the whole time. Within the first second they raise the arm nearest the frame and rest that hand on the frame above their head, while the other arm hangs loose. The warm light behind them blooms brighter and traces a golden outline around the hair and shoulders. By the third second they tilt their head against the raised arm with a knowing smile, eyes on the lens, as the camera dollies in to a chest-up framing and holds. The person stays exactly as they appear in the photo.

Pictures that work best

  • Pick a photo with a door, arch or window edge near the person. It anchors the lean.
  • A brighter space behind them makes the golden outline show up.
  • Three-quarter framing leaves room for the raised arm.
  • Dark or plain tones around the shoulders show the rim light more clearly.

How it works

  1. 01

    Add one photo

Choose the photo to match the example: include both people for a shared gesture, and keep the face and any hands involved clearly visible. Upload your own photo or start with a Doorway Lean sample.

  2. 02

    Check the price

Doorway Lean defaults to a 5-second clip for $0.185. Swap the model or change the length and resolution before you run — the price on the button updates to match, and that's the whole cost of the clip.

  3. 03

    Generate

Your Doorway Lean clip renders in the background, lands in History and is never published.

Do the move yourself

Doorway Lean keeps one version of this shot. To give Doorway Lean your own motion or ending, write it yourself in Image to Video, starting from the prompt above.

What it does to your photo

The person keeps one shoulder leaning against the door frame the whole time. Within the first second they raise the arm nearest the frame and rest that hand on the frame above their head, while the other arm hangs loose. The warm light behind them blooms brighter and traces a golden outline around the hair and shoulders. By the third second they tilt their head against the raised arm with a knowing smile, eyes on the lens, as the camera dollies in to a chest-up framing and holds. The person stays exactly as they appear in your photo throughout.

In our test runs on MiniMax H3, a woman with long dark hair and a nose ring in a black ribbed long-sleeve dress leaned in a lamp-lit doorway, raised her arm to rest it on the frame above her head by second two as warm backlight traced her hair, and by second three tilted her head against her arm with a knowing smile as the camera moved in closer.

Photos of a person standing near a doorway, arch or wall edge work best, with a brighter space behind them for the golden outline. Waist-up or three-quarter framing shows the raised arm. Photos with the person far from any frame can still work, but the lean is less grounded. Very bright, flat lighting weakens the glow. The effect leaves the person exactly as they are in your photo and only adds the motion, light and atmosphere.

It runs on MiniMax H3 for five seconds by default, and H3 itself goes up to 15 seconds and 2K if you want more. Studio also lets you move the same prompt to another model before you generate, such as Seedance 2.0 or Wan 3.0, and the price on the Generate button updates with every change. Our samples were all made on MiniMax H3, so other models will read the prompt in their own way.

Good for lifestyle portraits, fashion-style clips, and relaxed character shots.

Open the prompt in the generator and change "a knowing smile" to "a calm, steady look" for a quieter mood, or "chest-up framing" to "head-and-shoulders framing" for a closer finish.
