What Short film does
Short film turns one line of story into a finished short film. A writer drafts the scenes, the cast and every line; image and video models shoot each scene; the editor adds captions and music and exports an MP4.
Characters keep the same face from scene to scene because their portraits travel with every shot. Turn on Same voice in every scene and each line is spoken first in one of 30 voices, then the video is lip-synced to it, so your lead sounds like the same person from the first scene to the last.

How a film gets made

How long (30 seconds up to 15 minutes), how many people, how much they talk, and the heat: Sweet, Flirty or Steamy. Then write one line or paste a script. The scene count and an estimate for the whole film show up before anything is written.

Read the story, then press Make my film
The writer drafts the scenes, the cast and the lines, and you can change any of it. The first confirmation makes cast portraits, places and the first picture of every scene.

Check your film as pictures
Every scene lines up as a picture. Redo the ones you don't like, then one more confirmation makes all the scene videos in one go.

Finish and export
Captions from the script are added for you. Drop in music or a voice-over, reorder scenes on the timeline, and export an MP4 of up to 15 minutes, as one file or part by part. Exporting costs nothing and the file is kept for 24 hours.
What you get beyond a single clip
The same face in every scene
Each character gets a portrait and each location a picture. Both are attached to every scene they appear in, so the woman in scene 12 is still the woman from scene 1.
The same voice in every scene
Pick one of 30 voices per character and preview it first. With Same voice in every scene on, the line is spoken before the video is made and the picture is lip-synced to that recording. Voice lines are charged only for the seconds actually spoken.
Music and voice-over
Choose one of 12 instrumental tracks, included at no cost for films you make here, and it sits under the dialogue for the whole film. Or have Score this film write an original cue for your story. Scenes with on-screen text can be read aloud as a voice-over in one click.
Films up to 15 minutes
Pick 5, 10 or 15 minutes and the writer drafts the first part. Keep writing adds each next part from where the story stops, with the same cast, places and voices, until the film reaches its length. Export the whole film or one part at a time.
Direct every shot
Rewrite what happens in a scene, change its lines, length or model, make another take and keep the version you like. Nothing is regenerated unless you ask for it.
A canvas when you want one
Every film is also a canvas. Switch views to see each picture, video and voice line as a card, branch alternate takes, and switch back to the scene list without losing anything.
Steamy and NSFW stories
Heat has three settings. Sweet keeps it light and romantic, Flirty builds tension and is the default, and Steamy turns up the romance and the mood. In every setting the writer tells the story through looks, light and cuts rather than spelling anything out, and every character is written as an adult. Anything you write yourself, in your idea or in a scene, stays in that scene exactly as you wrote it.
SpicyAPI adds no content filter of its own. The default video models for films are in our Uncensored tier, so a scene isn't stopped on our side. Some other models in the picker run their maker's own content check; if one of them refuses a scene, Try an uncensored model remakes it with one click, at the price shown before you confirm.
