What this effect sends

This is the full prompt, word for word. Copy it, or open it in the generator and change anything you like.

POV, as if the viewer is holding the person's hand. The person keeps one hand reaching back toward the lens and leads the viewer forward, the camera following close behind them. Within the first second they glance back over their shoulder at the lens with a playful smile, face clearly visible. They look ahead for a few steps, then by the fourth second look back again, laughing, and hold that over-the-shoulder look to the final frame. The person stays exactly as they appear in the photo.

Pictures that work best

  • Start from a photo that already shows a backward glance and an outstretched hand.
  • An open path, street or hallway ahead gives the walk somewhere to go.
  • Make sure the face is lit well enough to read in the over-the-shoulder moments.
  • Medium or three-quarter framing works better than a distant full-body shot.

The same prompt on different models. Pick by look and by price.

How it works

  1. 01

    Add one photo

Choose the photo to match the example: include both people for a shared gesture, and keep the face and any hands involved clearly visible. Upload your own photo or start with a Follow Me sample.

  2. 02

    Check the price

Follow Me defaults to a 5-second clip for $0.185. Swap the model or change the length and resolution before you run — the price on the button updates to match, and that's the whole cost of the clip.

  3. 03

    Generate

Your Follow Me clip renders in the background, lands in History and is never published.

Do the move yourself

Follow Me keeps one version of this shot. To give Follow Me your own motion or ending, write it yourself in Image to Video, starting from the prompt above.

What it does to your photo

Follow Me puts the viewer in the picture. The shot is a first-person view, as if you are holding the person's hand. They keep one hand reaching back toward the lens and lead you forward while the camera follows close behind. Within the first second they glance back over their shoulder at the lens with a playful smile, face clearly visible. They look ahead for a few steps, then around the fourth second look back again, laughing, and hold that over-the-shoulder look through the final frame.

In our test runs on MiniMax H3, on a wooden pier at sunset, a woman with a long braided ponytail in an orange satin shirt dress reached one hand back toward the lens and led the viewer forward, glancing back with a playful smile within the first second, looking ahead for a few steps, then by second four looking back over her shoulder again, laughing, and holding that look. In a second run, in a warm-lit apartment hallway at night, a man with dark curly hair in a patterned short-sleeve shirt over a white tank took the viewer's hand within the first second and led the way toward the living room, then by second four looked back over his shoulder laughing and held that look to the end.

Photos taken from behind or at an angle, with the person turning to look back and one hand reaching toward the camera, match the effect best. Straight-on portraits give the walking motion less to build from. The face should be visible when they look back, so avoid heavy hair or hats covering it. The effect leaves the person exactly as they are in your photo and only adds the motion, light and atmosphere.

It runs on MiniMax H3 for five seconds by default, and H3 itself goes up to 15 seconds and 2K if you want more. Studio also lets you move the same prompt to another model before you generate, such as Seedance 2.0 or Wan 3.0, and the price on the Generate button updates with every change. Our samples were all made on MiniMax H3, so other models will read the prompt in their own way.

Useful for travel clips, invitations and story openers that pull the viewer along.

The prompt says "keeps one hand reaching back toward the lens" and "hold that over-the-shoulder look". Try changing the second glance to a quiet smile instead of laughing, or have them walk faster.
