What this effect sends

This is the full prompt, word for word. Copy it, or open it in the generator and change anything you like.

The mirror and its frame stay in view the whole time. The person finishes a last touch to their look, then their eyes in the reflection lift and find the camera over their shoulder. By the second second they hold that look in the mirror, raise one eyebrow and break into a knowing smile while warm light flares around the reflection. The camera stays just over their shoulder and pushes in until the reflected face fills the mirror. The person stays exactly as they appear in the photo.

Pictures that work best

  • Use a photo where the mirror and the reflected face are both visible.
  • A mirror with a clear frame keeps the push-in tidy.
  • Shoot or pick an over-the-shoulder angle. The camera stays there.
  • A reflection that is large enough to show the face makes the final fill of the mirror sharper.

The same prompt on different models. Pick by look and by price.

How it works

  1. 01

    Add one photo

Choose the photo to match the example: include both people for a shared gesture, and keep the face and any hands involved clearly visible. Upload your own photo or start with a Mirror Glance sample.

  2. 02

    Check the price

Mirror Glance defaults to a 5-second clip for $0.185. Swap the model or change the length and resolution before you run — the price on the button updates to match, and that's the whole cost of the clip.

  3. 03

    Generate

Your Mirror Glance clip renders in the background, lands in History and is never published.

Do the move yourself

Mirror Glance keeps one version of this shot. To give Mirror Glance your own motion or ending, write it yourself in Image to Video, starting from the prompt above.

What it does to your photo

The mirror and its frame stay in view the whole time. The person finishes a last touch to their look, then their eyes in the reflection lift and find the camera over their shoulder. By the second second they hold that look in the mirror, raise one eyebrow and break into a knowing smile while warm light flares around the reflection. The camera stays just over their shoulder and pushes in until the reflected face fills the mirror. The person stays exactly as they appear in your photo throughout.

In our test runs on MiniMax H3, a grey-haired man in a black velvet tuxedo jacket and white shirt, fixing his cufflink at a bulb-lit vanity mirror, lifted his eyes in the reflection to find the camera over his shoulder by second two, and as the camera pushed in his reflected face broke into a knowing smile that filled the frame by second four. In a second run, a woman with a low ponytail in a cream blazer over a black top, smoothing her collar at a tall mirror in a bright dressing room, lifted her eyes in the reflection to meet the camera over her shoulder by second two and broke into a knowing smile as the camera pushed in until her reflected face filled the frame.

Photos where a mirror is visible with the person's reflection work best. Over-the-shoulder or back three-quarter framing matches the camera position. Photos with no mirror, or with the face fully turned to the camera, lose the reflected look. Mirrors with heavy glare or very small reflections give less to push into.

It runs on MiniMax H3 for five seconds by default, and H3 itself goes up to 15 seconds and 2K if you want more. Studio also lets you move the same prompt to another model before you generate, such as Seedance 2.0 or Wan 3.0, and the price on the Generate button updates with every change. Our samples were all made on MiniMax H3, so other models will read the prompt in their own way.

Good for fashion and getting-ready clips, outfit posts, and playful portraits.

Open the prompt in the generator and change "raise one eyebrow" to "tilt their head" for a softer gesture, or "warm light flares around the reflection" to "soft light glows around the reflection" for a gentler glow.
