What this effect sends
This is the full prompt, word for word. Copy it, or open it in the generator and change anything you like.
The scene starts in flat, ordinary light. Within the first second neon light flickers on around the person with a buzz, hot pink from one side and electric blue from the other, and a thin haze rolls in. By the second second everything is drenched in saturated pink and blue neon, the colors pulsing across them and glinting in their eyes. They lean back, tilt their head and hold a cool, lingering look into the lens as the neon pulses to the end. The person stays exactly as they appear in the photo.Pictures that work best
- Use a plainly lit starting photo so the change is obvious.
- Light walls pick up the color well.
- Keep the face evenly lit in the source image.
- Avoid photos with strong existing colored lights.

Add one photo
Choose the photo to match the example: include both people for a shared gesture, and keep the face and any hands involved clearly visible. Upload your own photo or start with a Neon Glow sample.
- 02
Check the price
Neon Glow defaults to a 5-second clip for $0.185. Swap the model or change the length and resolution before you run — the price on the button updates to match, and that's the whole cost of the clip.

Do the move yourself
Neon Glow keeps one version of this shot. To give Neon Glow your own motion or ending, write it yourself in Image to Video, starting from the prompt above.
What it does to your photo
Neon Glow changes the mood of a room in seconds.
In our test runs on MiniMax H3, a young South Asian man with a tall pompadour and thin moustache, in a black leather jacket, white T-shirt and silver chain, standing in a plain white room, watched hot pink and electric blue neon flicker on from either side with haze rolling in by second one and a half; by second three the whole room was soaked in saturated pink and blue, and he ended with his chin up, staring into the lens. In a second run, a South Asian man with short black hair in a charcoal suit, white shirt and navy tie, adjusting his tie in a tall mirror in a warmly lit living room, saw the mirror frame light up as a hot pink neon tube within the first second, with pink and electric blue rim light tracing his suit and a thin haze drifting in; the camera then pushed into the reflection, and he ended bathed in blue-violet light beside a single blue neon edge.
Photos taken in plain, neutral light, such as a white-walled room, give the neon the biggest change to show. Photos that already have strong colored lighting make the transformation less visible. Chest-up portraits with the face clearly lit work best. The effect leaves the person exactly as they are in your photo and only adds the motion, light and atmosphere.
It runs on MiniMax H3 for five seconds by default, and H3 itself goes up to 15 seconds and 2K if you want more. Studio also lets you move the same prompt to another model before you generate, such as Seedance 2.0 or Wan 3.0, and the price on the Generate button updates with every change. Our samples were all made on MiniMax H3, so other models will read the prompt in their own way.
Suited to music promos, nightlife clips and bold portrait intros.
The prompt says "hot pink from one side and electric blue from the other" and "a cool, lingering look". Try swapping to green and purple neon, or reverse which side each color comes from.
