What this effect sends

This is the full prompt, word for word. Copy it, or open it in the generator and change anything you like.

There is a pane of glass between the camera and the person. Within the first second they lean close to the glass and breathe on it, and a patch of white fog blooms on the glass in front of their face. By the second second they draw a heart in the fog with one fingertip, the clear lines of the heart glowing with the light behind them. They lean back and smile into the lens through the drawn heart, and the final frames hold on the heart in the fog with their smiling face behind it. The person stays exactly as they appear in the photo.

Pictures that work best

  • Choose a photo that clearly shows a window or pane of glass in front of the person.
  • A warm light inside makes the heart glow.
  • Rain on the outside of the glass adds to the mood.
  • Keep the person close to the window in the source photo.

How it works

  1. 01

    Add one photo

Choose the photo to match the example: include both people for a shared gesture, and keep the face and any hands involved clearly visible. Upload your own photo or start with a Fogged Window sample.

  2. 02

    Check the price

Fogged Window defaults to a 5-second clip for $0.185. Swap the model or change the length and resolution before you run — the price on the button updates to match, and that's the whole cost of the clip.

  3. 03

    Generate

Your Fogged Window clip renders in the background, lands in History and is never published.

Do the move yourself

Fogged Window keeps one version of this shot. To give Fogged Window your own motion or ending, write it yourself in Image to Video, starting from the prompt above.

What it does to your photo

Fogged Window shows a small romantic gesture through glass. The camera sits outside, with a pane of glass between it and the person. Within the first second they lean close and breathe on the glass, and a patch of white fog blooms in front of their face. By the second second they draw a heart in the fog with one fingertip, the clear lines of the heart glowing with the light behind them. They lean back and smile into the lens through the drawn heart, and the final frames hold on the heart with their smiling face behind it.

In our test runs on MiniMax H3, a young South Asian woman with a top bun and round wire glasses in a mustard-yellow cardigan, standing behind a rain-streaked café window at night, leaned in and breathed on the glass within the first second so a wide patch of white fog bloomed over her face, traced a heart in it with one fingertip by second three, and ended smiling at the lens through the clear heart in the fog.

Photos taken from outside a window, looking in at the person, work best, since the fog and glass need to sit between you and them. Shots with no glass in the picture can make the fog look odd. Evening or rainy scenes with warm light inside suit the glowing heart. The effect leaves the person exactly as they are in your photo and only adds the motion.

It runs on MiniMax H3 for five seconds by default, and H3 itself goes up to 15 seconds and 2K if you want more. Studio also lets you move the same prompt to another model before you generate, such as Seedance 2.0 or Wan 3.0, and the price on the Generate button updates with every change. Our samples were all made on MiniMax H3, so other models will read the prompt in their own way.

Suited to romantic clips, seasonal greetings and sweet story moments.

The prompt says "breathe on it" and "draw a heart in the fog with one fingertip". Try replacing the heart with a smile shape or a single initial.
