What this effect sends

This is the full prompt, word for word. Copy it, or open it in the generator and change anything you like.

The two adults in the photo turn toward each other and wrap their arms around each other in a slow, tender embrace, cheeks resting gently together so both faces stay visible, eyes closing with soft smiles. The camera pushes in slowly in warm, soft light.

Pictures that work best

  • Use a photo of two adults who are both happy for you to animate them this way.
  • Choose a photo where both faces are visible and roughly the same height, so cheek-to-cheek framing works.
  • Standing close together in the original photo, arms already near each other, gives the smoothest hug.
  • Avoid photos where one person is turned mostly away from camera; the effect needs both faces to read clearly once they embrace.

How it works

  1. 01

    Add one photo

Choose the photo to match the example: include both people for a shared gesture, and keep the face and any hands involved clearly visible. Upload your own photo or start with a Embrace sample.

  2. 02

    Check the price

Embrace defaults to a 5-second clip for $0.185. Swap the model or change the length and resolution before you run — the price on the button updates to match, and that's the whole cost of the clip.

  3. 03

    Generate

Your Embrace clip renders in the background, lands in History and is never published.

Do the move yourself

Embrace keeps one version of this shot. To give Embrace your own motion or ending, write it yourself in Image to Video, starting from the prompt above.

What it does to your photo

Embrace turns a photo of two people into a slow, tender hug. They turn toward each other, wrap their arms around one another, and rest cheek to cheek so both faces stay visible, eyes closing into soft smiles while the camera pushes in slowly under warm light.

In our two test runs on MiniMax H3, two men on a city rooftop at blue hour — one in a charcoal suit, one in a navy overcoat — opened their arms and stepped together over the first two seconds, then held a close embrace cheek to cheek with both faces in frame as the camera pushed in and the light warmed toward the end. A couple on a golden-hour terrace followed the same beats: she wrapped her arms around his shoulders as he held her waist, and from the second mark they hugged cheek to cheek with their eyes closed and smiling while the camera eased closer.

We first tried a version where one person rests their head on the other's shoulder while the camera orbits a few degrees, and on one photo that turn carried on until a back faced the lens, so the hug read more like two friends slapping backs than a couple embracing. Asking instead for cheeks resting together, with both faces staying visible, and a straight push-in rather than an orbit fixed it on both photos we reran — worth knowing if you edit the prompt yourself and want to keep an orbiting camera.

It suits anniversaries, engagement or wedding content, a tender beat inside a couple's photo story, or the closing shot of a relationship-focused reel — anywhere a hug says more than a static pose.

The prompt is public and editable. If you'd like the hug to end in a kiss instead of a held embrace, open it in the generator and add "then share a soft kiss" after "eyes closing with soft smiles."
