What this effect sends
This is the full prompt, word for word. Copy it, or open it in the generator and change anything you like.
The main subject slowly slides their plain dark sunglasses down their nose with one fingertip, peers over the top of them straight into the lens with one eyebrow raised, then gives a slow, amused smile. The camera pushes in gently. The person stays exactly as they appear in the photo.Pictures that work best
- Photos with sunglasses already on give the cleanest result.
- Chest-up or medium framing keeps the fingertip move and the eyes readable.
- Sunny, outdoor or poolside photos match the mood best.
- Faces turned toward the camera make the peek over the frames land.

How it works

Add one photo
Choose the photo to match the example: include both people for a shared gesture, and keep the face and any hands involved clearly visible. Upload your own photo or start with a Over the Shades sample.
- 02
Check the price
Over the Shades defaults to a 5-second clip for $0.185. Swap the model or change the length and resolution before you run — the price on the button updates to match, and that's the whole cost of the clip.
- 03
Generate
Your Over the Shades clip renders in the background, lands in History and is never published.
Do the move yourself
Over the Shades keeps one version of this shot. To give Over the Shades your own motion or ending, write it yourself in Image to Video, starting from the prompt above.
What it does to your photo
Over the Shades is one cool, unhurried move. Your subject slowly slides their dark sunglasses down their nose with one fingertip, peers over the top of them straight into the lens with one eyebrow raised, then gives a slow, amused smile while the camera pushes in gently.
In our test runs on MiniMax H3, a woman in a knotted pink shirt on a rooftop pool deck lifted a hand, eased her sunglasses down and looked over them at the lens with a smile as the camera moved in. In a second run, a man in an open linen camp shirt slid his sunglasses down with his fingertips and peered over them, ending on a slow, amused smile.
It is made for photos where your subject is already wearing sunglasses. Without them the model has to add a plain pair, which works, but changes the look of the photo.
It runs on MiniMax H3 for five seconds by default, and H3 itself goes up to 15 seconds and 2K if you want more. Studio also lets you move the same prompt to another model before you generate, such as Seedance 2.0 or Wan 3.0, and the price on the Generate button updates with every change. Our samples were all made on MiniMax H3, so other models will read the prompt in their own way.
Use it for a summer profile clip, a poolside or vacation teaser, or an attitude-heavy opener.
The prompt is public and editable. For a flirtier finish, add "and a slow wink" after the smile; for a cooler one, replace "amused smile" with "unimpressed look".
