What this effect sends

This is the full prompt, word for word. Copy it, or open it in the generator and change anything you like.

A storm of deep red rose petals bursts into the frame and swirls around the person in slow motion, petals sweeping past their shoulders and through the light without covering their face. The petals spin into a spiral around them as they hold the lens with a slow, inviting look. The person stays exactly as they appear in the photo.

Pictures that work best

  • A plain or dark background makes the petals stand out.
  • A visible face suits the spiral ending.
  • Soft light in the original photo fits the romantic mood.
  • Name other petals in the prompt to match a season or theme.

The same prompt on different models. Pick by look and by price.

How it works

  1. 01

    Add one photo

Choose the photo to match the example: include both people for a shared gesture, and keep the face and any hands involved clearly visible. Upload your own photo or start with a Petal Storm sample.

  2. 02

    Check the price

Petal Storm defaults to a 5-second clip for $0.185. Swap the model or change the length and resolution before you run — the price on the button updates to match, and that's the whole cost of the clip.

  3. 03

    Generate

Your Petal Storm clip renders in the background, lands in History and is never published.

Do the move yourself

Petal Storm keeps one version of this shot. To give Petal Storm your own motion or ending, write it yourself in Image to Video, starting from the prompt above.

What it does to your photo

A storm of deep red rose petals bursts into the frame and swirls around the person in slow motion. The petals sweep past their shoulders and through the light without covering their face. They then spin into a spiral around the person as they hold the lens with a slow, inviting look. The result is romantic and soft, with the petals adding color and motion.

In our test runs on MiniMax H3, a young woman with long black curls in white satin in a dim window-lit room was hit by a burst of red rose petals at second one that circled her in a ring by second two and spiralled all around her to the end, petals settling in her hair as she held the lens.

Works best on a portrait or waist-up photo with a plain or dark background, so the red petals read clearly. A face turned toward the lens keeps the ending focused. Busy backgrounds compete with the swirling petals. The effect leaves the person exactly as they are in your photo and only adds the motion, light and atmosphere.

It runs on MiniMax H3 for five seconds by default, and H3 itself goes up to 15 seconds and 2K if you want more. Studio also lets you move the same prompt to another model before you generate, such as Seedance 2.0 or Wan 3.0, and the price on the Generate button updates with every change. Our samples were all made on MiniMax H3, so other models will read the prompt in their own way.

Good for romantic, seasonal and Valentine-style content, and for soft, atmospheric profile clips.

Change "deep red rose petals" to "pale pink cherry blossom petals" for a softer palette, or change "in slow motion" to "in real time" for a faster swirl.
