What this effect sends
This is the full prompt, word for word. Copy it, or open it in the generator and change anything you like.
Within the first second the image melts into a heavy vintage soft-focus glow: every highlight blooms into a hazy halo, the edges of the frame dissolve into pale pink haze, and the whole picture looks shot through a glamour diffusion filter. The person turns their face toward the camera and settles into a faint smile with their eyes on the lens. The dreamy glow stays strong through the very last frame and never sharpens back. The person stays exactly as they appear in the photo.Pictures that work best
- Pick a photo with some highlights. Haze blooms around bright points, so a flat gray photo shows less change.
- Light and warm colors work best with the pale pink edges.
- The glow never clears, so choose a photo you are happy to see in soft focus.
- Face the camera in the original if you can. The clip ends with eyes on the lens.

How it works
- 01
Add one photo
Choose the photo to match the example: include both people for a shared gesture, and keep the face and any hands involved clearly visible. Upload your own photo or start with a Soft Focus sample.
- 02
Check the price
Soft Focus defaults to a 5-second clip for $0.185. Swap the model or change the length and resolution before you run — the price on the button updates to match, and that's the whole cost of the clip.

Generate
Your Soft Focus clip renders in the background, lands in History and is never published.
Do the move yourself
Soft Focus keeps one version of this shot. To give Soft Focus your own motion or ending, write it yourself in Image to Video, starting from the prompt above.
What it does to your photo
Within the first second the image melts into a heavy vintage soft-focus glow: every highlight blooms into a hazy halo, the edges of the frame dissolve into pale pink haze, and the whole picture looks shot through a glamour diffusion filter. The person turns their face toward the camera and settles into a faint smile with their eyes on the lens. The dreamy glow stays strong through the very last frame and never sharpens back. The person stays exactly as they appear in your photo throughout.
In our test runs on MiniMax H3, a woman with vintage finger-wave hair in pale pink satin, seated on a velvet chaise in a floral-papered parlor, was washed in a soft pink glamour haze by second two, every highlight blooming, as she settled into a faint smile at the lens and the dreamy glow held to the last frame. In a second run, a man in a white shirt sitting in a candlelit attic room was bathed in a warm, hazy glamour glow by second two, candle flames and window lights blooming into soft halos, as he looked up into the lens with an easy smile.
Portraits with bright spots, such as a lamp, a window or shiny hair, bloom the most. Warm, light backgrounds take the pink haze well. Very dark or very busy photos show less glow. If you need crisp detail in the final frame, this effect is the wrong choice, because it stays soft to the end. The effect leaves the person exactly as they are in your photo and only adds the motion, light and atmosphere.
It runs on MiniMax H3 for five seconds by default, and H3 itself goes up to 15 seconds and 2K if you want more. Studio also lets you move the same prompt to another model before you generate, such as Seedance 2.0 or Wan 3.0, and the price on the Generate button updates with every change. Our samples were all made on MiniMax H3, so other models will read the prompt in their own way.
Good for vintage portraits, wedding and beauty posts, and gentle, nostalgic clips.
Open the prompt in the generator and change "pale pink haze" to "warm golden haze" for an amber glow, or "a faint smile" to "a soft, open smile" for more expression.
