What this effect sends

This is the full prompt, word for word. Copy it, or open it in the generator and change anything you like.

Hundreds of small specks of light from a slowly turning mirror ball drift across the main subject and the walls around them in a dim room. They sway gently to an unheard slow song, tilt their head back with a dreamy look, then bring their eyes to the lens with a playful, lingering smile. The camera circles slowly at mid distance. The person stays exactly as they appear in the photo.

Pictures that work best

  • Dim, evening or party photos let the light specks stand out.
  • Three-quarter or full-body framing gives the sway room to read.
  • Leave some space around your subject for the slow orbit.
  • A face turned toward the camera makes the final look land.

How it works

  1. 01

    Add one photo

Choose the photo to match the example: include both people for a shared gesture, and keep the face and any hands involved clearly visible. Upload your own photo or start with a Disco Ball sample.

  2. 02

    Check the price

Disco Ball defaults to a 5-second clip for $0.185. Swap the model or change the length and resolution before you run — the price on the button updates to match, and that's the whole cost of the clip.

  3. 03

    Generate

Your Disco Ball clip renders in the background, lands in History and is never published.

Do the move yourself

Disco Ball keeps one version of this shot. To give Disco Ball your own motion or ending, write it yourself in Image to Video, starting from the prompt above.

What it does to your photo

Disco Ball fills a dim room with hundreds of slow, drifting specks of light from a turning mirror ball. Your subject sways gently to an unheard slow song, tips their head back with a dreamy look, then brings their eyes back to the lens with a playful, lingering smile while the camera circles slowly at mid distance.

In our test runs on MiniMax H3, a woman in a gold sequin dress at a lounge party swayed and tipped her head back as hundreds of mirror-ball specks drifted over her and the walls, then brought her eyes back to the lens with a playful smile. In a second run, a man in a black satin shirt stood in the same kind of lounge while light specks covered him and a mirror ball turned into view at the top of the frame; he closed his eyes and tipped his head back before grinning at the lens.

Party, bar and evening shots are the obvious match, but any dim indoor photo works because the light specks are added on top. Full-length or three-quarter framing lets the sway read; tight close-ups mostly show the sparkles on the face.

It runs on MiniMax H3 for five seconds by default, and H3 itself goes up to 15 seconds and 2K if you want more. Studio also lets you move the same prompt to another model before you generate, such as Seedance 2.0 or Wan 3.0, and the price on the Generate button updates with every change. Our samples were all made on MiniMax H3, so other models will read the prompt in their own way.

It is a natural fit for a night-out recap, a slow-dance teaser or an intro for a party-themed set.

The prompt is public and editable. For a faster track, change "slow song" to "upbeat song"; for colored light, add "in shades of pink and gold" after "specks of light".
