What this effect sends
This is the full prompt, word for word. Copy it, or open it in the generator and change anything you like.
Water pours into the scene and the level rises fast, over the floor and the furniture, until everything is underwater within four seconds. The person stays calmly in place as they begin to float, hair drifting, bubbles rising, the light turning deep underwater blue with shimmering ripples. The person stays exactly as they appear in the photo.Pictures that work best
- Visible furniture or a floor lets the water level read clearly.
- Loose hair drifts more visibly underwater.
- A calm expression suits the weightless ending.
- If the water feels too fast, ask for a slower rise in the prompt.

How it works
- 01
Add one photo
Choose the photo to match the example: include both people for a shared gesture, and keep the face and any hands involved clearly visible. Upload your own photo or start with a Room Flood sample.
- 02
Check the price
Room Flood defaults to a 5-second clip for $0.185. Swap the model or change the length and resolution before you run — the price on the button updates to match, and that's the whole cost of the clip.
- 03
Generate
Your Room Flood clip renders in the background, lands in History and is never published.
Do the move yourself
Room Flood keeps one version of this shot. To give Room Flood your own motion or ending, write it yourself in Image to Video, starting from the prompt above.
What it does to your photo
Water pours into the scene and the level rises fast, over the floor and the furniture. Within four seconds everything is underwater. The person stays calmly in place as they begin to float, with hair drifting and bubbles rising. The light turns deep underwater blue with shimmering ripples.
In our test runs on MiniMax H3, a grey-bearded man in a mustard cardigan sitting on a green velvet sofa in a bright living room watched water flood in over the floor at second one and rise past his neck by second two, and from second three the whole room was underwater in deep blue light, bubbles rising and his hair drifting as he sat calmly. In a second run, a white-bobbed older woman in red glasses and a royal blue wrap dress sitting on a pink velvet sofa in a bright living room watched water flood the floor at second one, rise past the sofa by second two and submerge the whole room by second two and a half, ending underwater with her hair floating and bubbles rising.
Works best on a photo of a person in an indoor or enclosed space with visible floor or furniture, since the rising water is clearest against objects. The flood and underwater look are generated, so the scene gets a strong blue color shift. Open outdoor scenes work too, but there is less to submerge.
It runs on MiniMax H3 for five seconds by default, and H3 itself goes up to 15 seconds and 2K if you want more. Studio also lets you move the same prompt to another model before you generate, such as Seedance 2.0 or Wan 3.0, and the price on the Generate button updates with every change. Our samples were all made on MiniMax H3, so other models will read the prompt in their own way.
Good for dreamy or dramatic scenes, and for turning an ordinary room photo into an underwater mood.
Change "deep underwater blue" to "deep underwater green" for a different tint, or change "within four seconds" to "within six seconds" for a slower flood.
