What this effect sends

This is the full prompt, word for word. Copy it, or open it in the generator and change anything you like.

Within the first second the chair the person sits in swivels around in one smooth, confident turn until it faces the camera head-on. As it lands, they cross one leg over the other, rest their chin on one hand and lift their eyes to the lens with a cool, confident gaze. The light above brightens over them and dust glitters in the beam. By the third second it holds on the full frontal pose as the camera pushes in. The person stays exactly as they appear in the photo.

Pictures that work best

  • Use a photo where the chair is clearly visible and angled sideways.
  • A darker, simple room makes the overhead light and dust glitter stand out.
  • Include the person's legs in frame so the crossed-leg pose can happen.
  • Keep their face visible in profile at the start.

Models this effect runs on

The same prompt on different models. Pick by look and by price.

How it works

  1. 01

    Add one photo

Choose the photo to match the example: include both people for a shared gesture, and keep the face and any hands involved clearly visible. Upload your own photo or start with a Chair Spin sample.

  2. 02

    Check the price

Chair Spin defaults to a 5-second clip for $0.185. Swap the model or change the length and resolution before you run — the price on the button updates to match, and that's the whole cost of the clip.

  3. 03

    Generate

Your Chair Spin clip renders in the background, lands in History and is never published.

Do the move yourself

Chair Spin keeps one version of this shot. To give Chair Spin your own motion or ending, write it yourself in Image to Video, starting from the prompt above.

What it does to your photo

Chair Spin is a confident entrance. Within the first second the chair the person sits in swivels in one smooth, confident turn until it faces the camera head-on. As it lands, they cross one leg over the other, rest their chin on one hand and lift their eyes to the lens with a cool gaze. The light above brightens over them and dust glitters in the beam. By the third second the shot holds on the head-on pose as the camera pushes in.

In our test runs on MiniMax H3, a silver-haired man in his fifties with slicked-back hair and a grey goatee, in a navy velvet suit, black shirt and gold ring, sitting side-on in a rust velvet swivel chair in a wood-panelled library under a dusty beam of light, swung the chair round to face the camera by second two, crossed one leg over the other, rested his chin on his hand by second three, and ended with a cool, level stare into the lens as the camera pushed in.

Photos of someone sitting in a high-backed swivel chair, turned slightly to the side, work best, since the chair needs to be able to turn. Standing portraits have no chair to spin. Medium or three-quarter framing shows the pose and crossed legs. The effect leaves the person exactly as they are in your photo and only adds the motion, light and atmosphere.

It runs on MiniMax H3 for five seconds by default, and H3 itself goes up to 15 seconds and 2K if you want more. Studio also lets you move the same prompt to another model before you generate, such as Seedance 2.0 or Wan 3.0, and the price on the Generate button updates with every change. Our samples were all made on MiniMax H3, so other models will read the prompt in their own way.

Good for fashion intros, personal brand clips and dramatic reveals.

The prompt says "swivels around in one smooth, confident turn" and "rest their chin on one hand". Try changing the pose to arms crossed or hands on the armrests.
