Length of the new segment: any whole number from 1 to 16. Defaults to 5. Your source is added on top and is not billed. no lower than 1 · no higher than 16
    affects price
Sharpness of the generated new segment: 540p or 720p, default 720p. The resolution only sets how sharp the new segment is generated, so match your source’s resolution: a lower setting makes the new part look softer than the original. It sets the price.
    Generate audio
On by default, so the new segment comes with generated sound. Your source keeps its own sound either way; when one side is silent, the joined file is padded with silence.

SpicyAPI does not run a safety checker on this model. Your prompt and media go to the model as written, and the model itself decides what comes back.

Before you spend

image-to-video

The opening frame is followed closely, including uncensored source frames, and it also fixes the output shape. prompt is required even though the frame carries the content, so use it for movement only; text that argues with the still produces a clip that negotiates between them. This is the fast tier: 720p is the ceiling here, and 540p is meant for the draft pass.

all

The family publishes two endpoints, image-to-video and video-extend, so every request starts from a frame or a clip you supply. Requests are asynchronous: create a task, then poll or take the callback. generate_audio is on by default. You own the rights to any frame you upload and you are responsible for how the output is used.

What it does

Volume tier

Cheap enough to throw away eight of ten takes

Turbo exists so that trying a movement is not a budget decision. Generate ten one-to-four second variants from the same still at 540p, throw away the eight that read badly, and re-run only the two that work at 720p. Nothing else about the request changes between the draft and the delivery.

One anchor

The still decides the subject and the shape

Subject, wardrobe, styling, framing and output shape are all decided by the image you send, not by the prompt. That is what makes the endpoint predictable: two runs from one frame differ in movement, not in who is on screen. Settle the frame in an image pass and the video pass gets much easier.

One switch left

Sound is the only other setting

Once the frame is settled, the prompt carries the movement and generate_audio decides whether the scene makes sound - steps, water, room tone. It arrives on, so a clip is usable before you touch it; switch it off when the cut goes under an existing mix. movement_amplitude sets how much things move, and bgm (on by default) lays a music bed on top.

Where it fits

  • Uncensored loops generated in bulk

Uncensored stills animate as supplied, and at one to four seconds the per-variant cost is low enough to build a library in an afternoon. Vidu Q3 Spicy in the same line is the LoRA-tuned, uncensored variant.

  • Character reaction sets

One costume still becomes a curtsy, a wink, a wave and a head tilt - four requests, same frame, four prompts. Because the image fixes identity, the whole set stays consistent enough to cut together in a feed.

  • Draft passes before the delivery render

Try the camera move at 540p, keep the prompt and the seed, then raise the resolution once for the take you approve. Draft and delivery are the same request with one value changed, so nothing has to be rewritten in between.

  • Vertical and square social cuts

Because output shape comes from the still, a 9:16 portrait and a 1:1 square are two image-pass exports rather than two different video requests. Each animates into a 720p clip with sound already in sync.

Made with Vidu Q3 Turbo

  • Image-to-video, 5 seconds at 720p, generated from one square still. The square frame comes from the source image, not from a parameter.
    5s
  • Image-to-video, 5 seconds at 720p. The wide frame, the wardrobe and the lamplight all came from the opening still; the prompt only asked for the swinging feet and one slow move toward camera.

How to call the Vidu Q3 Turbo API

  1. Export the still at the deliverable's shape

The output takes the shape of the frame you send, so a square clip starts as a square image and a vertical clip starts as a vertical one. Settle wardrobe, styling and framing here, because the video pass will not change them.

  2. Write only the movement

The prompt is required but should stay on the beat, the camera and the sound. A working prompt looks like this: "She walks two steps toward camera balancing the tray, does a small curtsy, winks and says a silent greeting, cat-ear headband bobbing. Bright pastel cafe, cheerful handheld follow, upbeat cafe chatter." Set duration_seconds between 1 and 16.

  3. Generate wide, then finish narrow

Run several short variants at 540p from the same frame, pick the movement that reads best, then re-run that one at 720p for the delivery - same prompt, same seed, one value changed.

The short version

Vidu Q3 Turbo is the fast tier of Vidu's Q3 video line, published as image-to-video and video-extend endpoints. An opening frame is required and decides subject, look and output shape, while the prompt directs movement, camera and sound. Clips run 1 to 16 whole seconds at 540p or 720p, with audio generated in the same pass and enabled by default. Two resolutions is the whole ladder: draft at 540p while the movement is still changing, then deliver the same take at 720p by changing one value. Tasks run asynchronously and are billed per second of output.
