What this effect sends

This is the full prompt, word for word. Copy it, or open it in the generator and change anything you like.

Time freezes: dust, droplets and loose strands of hair or fabric hang motionless in the air while the camera arcs smoothly about a third of the way around the main subject, keeping it centered. The background slides past with strong parallax.

Pictures that work best

  • Action photos are ideal: a jump, a hair flip, a splash or a spin caught mid-air.
  • Leave space around the subject so the camera has room to travel.
  • Backlight, window light or haze makes the frozen dust and droplets visible.
  • Crowds are hard to freeze convincingly. One subject works best.

How it works

  1. 01

    Add one photo

Choose the photo to match the example: include both people for a shared gesture, and keep the face and any hands involved clearly visible. Upload your own photo or start with a Bullet Time sample.

  2. 02

    Check the price

Bullet Time defaults to a 5-second clip for $0.484. Swap the model or change the length and resolution before you run — the price on the button updates to match, and that's the whole cost of the clip.

  3. 03

    Generate

Your Bullet Time clip renders in the background, lands in History and is never published.

Do the move yourself

Bullet Time keeps one version of this shot. To give Bullet Time your own motion or ending, write it yourself in Image to Video, starting from the prompt above.

What it does to your photo

Bullet Time freezes a single instant and lets the camera move through it. Dust, droplets and loose fabric hang in the air while the camera arcs about a third of the way around your subject, and the background slides past with strong parallax. It works best on a photo that already caught something in motion.

Our favorite test was a dancer photographed mid-leap in a dim concrete studio. He stayed suspended in the air for the whole clip while the camera swung around him, the shaft of window light and the chalk dust hanging still, until we were looking at him from the side. On a cream convertible parked on a desert highway the move was gentler, closer to a quarter turn, with the red rock mesas shifting behind the car.

It runs on Seedance 2.0 Fast, the model that travelled furthest around the subject in our orbit tests; a smaller turn simply reads as a drifting camera.

The camera sees sides of your subject that the photo does not show, and the model has to invent them. We keep the arc to about a third of a circle to limit how much it has to imagine. One subject in open space comes out cleanest.
