What this effect sends

This is the full prompt, word for word. Copy it, or open it in the generator and change anything you like.

The scene starts in cool blue shade. Within the first second a low beam of golden sunlight breaks in from the left edge of the frame and sweeps across the background toward the person. By the third second the band of gold crosses their face, flaring warm on the skin and leaving a bright gold rim along the hair and shoulders while long shadows stretch out behind. It holds there as they turn their face into the warm light, then back to the lens. The person stays exactly as they appear in the photo.

Pictures that work best

  • Start with a cooler or overcast photo. The shift from blue shade to gold is the visible part of the effect.
  • Light hair and clear shoulder edges show the gold rim best.
  • Leave space behind the person. The long shadows stretch across the background, and an empty wall gives them room.
  • Pick a photo where the face is turned at least slightly toward the camera so the final look into the lens reads clearly.

Models this effect runs on

The same prompt on different models. Pick by look and by price.

How it works

  1. 01

    Add one photo

Choose the photo to match the example: include both people for a shared gesture, and keep the face and any hands involved clearly visible. Upload your own photo or start with a Golden-Hour Sweep sample.

  2. 02

    Check the price

Golden-Hour Sweep defaults to a 5-second clip for $0.185. Swap the model or change the length and resolution before you run — the price on the button updates to match, and that's the whole cost of the clip.

  3. 03

    Generate

Your Golden-Hour Sweep clip renders in the background, lands in History and is never published.

Do the move yourself

Golden-Hour Sweep keeps one version of this shot. To give Golden-Hour Sweep your own motion or ending, write it yourself in Image to Video, starting from the prompt above.

What it does to your photo

The scene starts in cool blue shade. Within the first second a low beam of golden sunlight breaks in from the left edge of the frame and sweeps across the background toward the person. By the third second the band of gold crosses their face, flaring warm on the skin and leaving a bright gold rim along the hair and shoulders while long shadows stretch out behind. It holds there as they turn their face into the warm light, then back to the lens. The person stays exactly as they appear in your photo throughout.

In our test runs on MiniMax H3, a woman with a silver pixie cut in a white linen shirt and chunky turquoise necklace in a cool blue-shadowed alley caught a low gold beam breaking in from the left edge at second one, watched it sweep across the wall and onto her face by second two and a half, and ended glowing warm with a gold rim on her hair and a long shadow on the wall behind her as she looked back into the lens.

Photos with soft, even or shaded light work best, because the sweep of gold has something cool to contrast against. Hair and shoulder edges that stand apart from the background take the rim light cleanly. Photos already full of strong warm sunlight show less change. Faces turned fully away from the camera lose the moment where they turn into the light. The effect leaves the person exactly as they are in your photo and only adds the motion, light and atmosphere.

It runs on MiniMax H3 for five seconds by default, and H3 itself goes up to 15 seconds and 2K if you want more. Studio also lets you move the same prompt to another model before you generate, such as Seedance 2.0 or Wan 3.0, and the price on the Generate button updates with every change. Our samples were all made on MiniMax H3, so other models will read the prompt in their own way.

Good for portrait posts, travel photos, and reels that want a warm, cinematic mood.

Open the prompt in the generator and change "from the left edge of the frame" to "from the right edge of the frame" to flip the direction, or "warm gold" wording to "soft amber" for a gentler tone.
