What this effect sends

This is the full prompt, word for word. Copy it, or open it in the generator and change anything you like.

Blue scan lines sweep down over the person from head to toe. Their whole figure turns into a translucent, flickering blue hologram with glowing wireframe edges, and the background shows through them. Digital glitches split the image into colored fringes for a moment, then the hologram stabilizes and hovers, still looking into the lens.

Pictures that work best

  • A dark background makes the glow and scan lines stand out.
  • Keep the person facing the camera so the hologram faces the lens.
  • Simple shapes and plain colors read better as wireframe than busy patterns.
  • If you want less glitching, ask for a stable hologram in the prompt.

Models this effect runs on

The same prompt on different models. Pick by look and by price.

How it works

  1. 01

    Add one photo

Choose the photo to match the example: include both people for a shared gesture, and keep the face and any hands involved clearly visible. Upload your own photo or start with a Hologram sample.

  2. 02

    Check the price

Hologram defaults to a 5-second clip for $0.185. Swap the model or change the length and resolution before you run — the price on the button updates to match, and that's the whole cost of the clip.

  3. 03

    Generate

Your Hologram clip renders in the background, lands in History and is never published.

Do the move yourself

Hologram keeps one version of this shot. To give Hologram your own motion or ending, write it yourself in Image to Video, starting from the prompt above.

What it does to your photo

Blue scan lines sweep down over the person from head to toe. Their whole figure turns into a translucent, flickering blue hologram with glowing wireframe edges, so the background shows through them. Digital glitches split the image into colored fringes for a moment. Then the hologram stabilizes and hovers, still looking into the lens.

In our test runs on MiniMax H3, a woman with long silver braids in a metallic silver jacket on a night-time rooftop was swept by blue scan lines from the head down, turned into a translucent glowing blue hologram with wireframe edges by second three, glitched into colour fringes for a moment and then stabilized as a full-length hologram. In a second run, a man with slicked-back hair and a thin moustache in a glossy black trench coat on a glass skywalk above a night city was swept by a blue scan ring from the head down, turned into a translucent blue hologram with glowing wireframe edges by second three, glitched into colour fringes for a moment and then stabilized as a full-length hologram.

Works best on a clean, front-facing photo of a person with a plain or dark background, so the translucent hologram reads clearly. The person becomes a blue projection, so real colors and fine details are replaced by the hologram style. A busy background shows through the body and can make the effect messy.

It runs on MiniMax H3 for five seconds by default, and H3 itself goes up to 15 seconds and 2K if you want more. Studio also lets you move the same prompt to another model before you generate, such as Seedance 2.0 or Wan 3.0, and the price on the Generate button updates with every change. Our samples were all made on MiniMax H3, so other models will read the prompt in their own way.

Good for sci-fi, tech and gaming content, and for futuristic intros or video-call style concepts.

Change "Blue scan lines" to "Green scan lines" for a retro terminal look, or change "translucent, flickering blue hologram" to "steady blue hologram" for a calmer version.
