What this effect sends

This is the full prompt, word for word. Copy it, or open it in the generator and change anything you like.

The whole person turns to clear glass from the hands upward, catching the light like crystal. A crack runs across their chest, then the whole glass figure bursts apart into thousands of glittering shards that fly outward toward the lens in slow motion. The final frames show only drifting glass sparkles where the person stood.

Pictures that work best

  • A dark or plain background makes the glass shards and sparkles easy to see.
  • Hands visible in the photo help the transformation start where the prompt expects.
  • Strong light in the photo gives the glass more to reflect.
  • If you want the person to remain at the end, use a transformation that ends on a statue instead.

Models this effect runs on

The same prompt on different models. Pick by look and by price.

How it works

  1. 01

    Add one photo

Choose the photo to match the example: include both people for a shared gesture, and keep the face and any hands involved clearly visible. Upload your own photo or start with a Shatterpoint sample.

  2. 02

    Check the price

Shatterpoint defaults to a 5-second clip for $0.185. Swap the model or change the length and resolution before you run — the price on the button updates to match, and that's the whole cost of the clip.

  3. 03

    Generate

Your Shatterpoint clip renders in the background, lands in History and is never published.

Do the move yourself

Shatterpoint keeps one version of this shot. To give Shatterpoint your own motion or ending, write it yourself in Image to Video, starting from the prompt above.

What it does to your photo

The whole person turns to clear glass from the hands upward, catching the light like crystal. A crack runs across the chest, then the whole glass figure bursts apart into thousands of glittering shards. The shards fly outward toward the lens in slow motion. The final frames show only drifting glass sparkles where the person stood, so the ending is empty of the subject.

In our test runs on MiniMax H3, a bald man with a short grey beard in a navy velvet suit against a black backdrop turned to clear cracked glass from the hands up by second two, his face glazing over by second three, then burst into thousands of glittering shards at second four, leaving only glass fragments drifting toward the lens.

Best with a clear, well-lit photo of a person whose silhouette is easy to read, because the glass look depends on the edges. Plain or dark backgrounds make the sparkles stand out. The identity changes into glass before the burst and the person is gone at the end, so use it when you want a dramatic exit, not when the clip must end on their face.

It runs on MiniMax H3 for five seconds by default, and H3 itself goes up to 15 seconds and 2K if you want more. Studio also lets you move the same prompt to another model before you generate, such as Seedance 2.0 or Wan 3.0, and the price on the Generate button updates with every change. Our samples were all made on MiniMax H3, so other models will read the prompt in their own way.

Great for dramatic cut-outs, music-beat drops and transitions where the subject disappears. It pairs well with a darker following clip.

Change "thousands of glittering shards" to "hundreds of large shards" for a chunkier break, or change "in slow motion" to "in fast motion" for a sharper burst.
