What this effect sends

This is the full prompt, word for word. Copy it, or open it in the generator and change anything you like.

The person's eyes flash bright white. Blue electric arcs burst from their shoulders and crawl down their arms to the fingertips, crackling and branching, while static lifts their hair upward. Lightning flickers in the background in sync. The camera pushes in toward their face as the electricity grows to surround them completely, and holds on the charged, glowing figure.

Pictures that work best

  • Visible arms and hands give the electricity a path to follow.
  • A dark or dim background makes the arcs read more clearly.
  • Loose hair lifts more dramatically than tied-back hair.
  • If you want fewer arcs, ask for subtle sparks in the prompt instead.

Models this effect runs on

The same prompt on different models. Pick by look and by price.

How it works

  1. 01

    Add one photo

Choose the photo to match the example: include both people for a shared gesture, and keep the face and any hands involved clearly visible. Upload your own photo or start with a Storm Charge sample.

  2. 02

    Check the price

Storm Charge defaults to a 5-second clip for $0.185. Swap the model or change the length and resolution before you run — the price on the button updates to match, and that's the whole cost of the clip.

  3. 03

    Generate

Your Storm Charge clip renders in the background, lands in History and is never published.

Do the move yourself

Storm Charge keeps one version of this shot. To give Storm Charge your own motion or ending, write it yourself in Image to Video, starting from the prompt above.

What it does to your photo

The person's eyes flash bright white. Blue electric arcs burst from their shoulders and crawl down their arms to the fingertips, crackling and branching, while static lifts their hair upward. Lightning flickers in the background in sync. The camera pushes in toward their face as the electricity grows to surround them completely, and the clip holds on the charged, glowing figure.

In our test runs on MiniMax H3, a man with tousled dark hair and stubble in a black leather jacket on a stormy rocky shore had his eyes flash white at second one as lightning struck behind him, then blue electric arcs crawled over his shoulders and arms and lifted his hair as the camera pushed in to a crackling close-up. In a second run, a woman with short grey hair in a black leather trench coat on a stormy sea cliff got glowing white eyes and blue arcs off her shoulders at second one, had lightning crawling down her coat by second two, and ended in a close push-in with her hair standing on end and electricity crackling all around her.

Works best on a front-facing portrait or waist-up photo where the arms and hands are visible, so the arcs have somewhere to run. Darker scenes make the electricity stand out. The look is stylized, and hair that is tied back or hidden will lift less visibly, so loose hair gives the most dramatic result.

It runs on MiniMax H3 for five seconds by default, and H3 itself goes up to 15 seconds and 2K if you want more. Studio also lets you move the same prompt to another model before you generate, such as Seedance 2.0 or Wan 3.0, and the price on the Generate button updates with every change. Our samples were all made on MiniMax H3, so other models will read the prompt in their own way.

Good for superhero-style moments, gaming content and dramatic profile loops. A strong choice for a power-up beat in a longer edit.

Change "Blue electric arcs" to "Purple electric arcs" to change the color, or change "eyes flash bright white" to "eyes glow gold" for a different look.
