What this effect sends

This is the full prompt, word for word. Copy it, or open it in the generator and change anything you like.

A torrent of fine gold glitter pours down from above onto the person in slow motion, thousands of tiny flakes flashing in the light, bouncing off their shoulders and swirling around them. They tilt their head back with eyes closed, then open their eyes and look straight into the lens as the golden storm keeps falling. The person stays exactly as they appear in the photo.

Pictures that work best

  • Dark or plain backgrounds make the glitter stand out.
  • A visible face lets the eyes-open moment land.
  • Strong light in the photo gives the flakes more glint.
  • Name another color in the prompt for a different shimmer.

How it works

  1. 01

    Add one photo

Choose the photo to match the example: include both people for a shared gesture, and keep the face and any hands involved clearly visible. Upload your own photo or start with a Gold Dust sample.

  2. 02

    Check the price

Gold Dust defaults to a 5-second clip for $0.185. Swap the model or change the length and resolution before you run — the price on the button updates to match, and that's the whole cost of the clip.

  3. 03

    Generate

Your Gold Dust clip renders in the background, lands in History and is never published.

Do the move yourself

Gold Dust keeps one version of this shot. To give Gold Dust your own motion or ending, write it yourself in Image to Video, starting from the prompt above.

What it does to your photo

A torrent of fine gold glitter pours down from above onto the person in slow motion. Thousands of tiny flakes flash in the light, bounce off their shoulders and swirl around them. They tilt their head back with eyes closed, then open their eyes and look straight into the lens as the golden storm keeps falling.

In our test runs on MiniMax H3, a woman with sleek centre-parted dark hair and gold hoop earrings in a black turtleneck against a black backdrop closed her eyes as a torrent of gold glitter poured onto her head from the first second, cascading down her hair and face by second two and settling as glittering gold flakes across her forehead and shoulders. In a second run, a man with short black hair and a moustache in a black velvet mandarin-collar jacket against a black backdrop closed his eyes as a stream of gold glitter poured onto his head at second one, was showered in a cascade of flashing gold flakes through second two and a half, and ended with gold glitter on his hair, nose and shoulders, eyes half open toward the lens.

Works best on a portrait or waist-up photo with a face visible and a plain or dark background, so the gold flakes catch the light. A person looking toward the camera gives the final look a strong focus. Busy backgrounds can compete with the glitter, and eyes that are already closed make the open-eyes ending less clear. The effect leaves the person exactly as they are in your photo and only adds the motion, light and atmosphere.

It runs on MiniMax H3 for five seconds by default, and H3 itself goes up to 15 seconds and 2K if you want more. Studio also lets you move the same prompt to another model before you generate, such as Seedance 2.0 or Wan 3.0, and the price on the Generate button updates with every change. Our samples were all made on MiniMax H3, so other models will read the prompt in their own way.

Good for glamorous, celebratory and luxury-style clips, and for dramatic profile loops.

Change "fine gold glitter" to "fine silver glitter" for a cooler look, or change "in slow motion" to "in fast motion" for a quicker storm.
