What this effect sends

This is the full prompt, word for word. Copy it, or open it in the generator and change anything you like.

The camera pushes straight into one of the person's eyes in a fast smooth zoom until the iris fills the whole frame. Inside the pupil a vast glowing nebula opens up, swirling violet and gold gas clouds full of stars, and the camera keeps flying forward into deep space through it. The final frames are a full-screen cosmic nebula.

Pictures that work best

  • Use a close, evenly lit portrait so the eye is clearly visible.
  • Open eyes looking at the lens give the cleanest start to the push-in.
  • Glasses and heavy shadows over the eye can confuse the zoom, so skip those photos.
  • If the nebula is too busy, name a simpler look in the prompt, such as soft clouds with a few stars.

How it works

  1. 01

    Add one photo

Choose the photo to match the example: include both people for a shared gesture, and keep the face and any hands involved clearly visible. Upload your own photo or start with a Pupil Portal sample.

  2. 02

    Check the price

Pupil Portal defaults to a 5-second clip for $0.185. Swap the model or change the length and resolution before you run — the price on the button updates to match, and that's the whole cost of the clip.

  3. 03

    Generate

Your Pupil Portal clip renders in the background, lands in History and is never published.

Do the move yourself

Pupil Portal keeps one version of this shot. To give Pupil Portal your own motion or ending, write it yourself in Image to Video, starting from the prompt above.

What it does to your photo

The camera pushes straight into one of the person's eyes in a fast, smooth zoom until the iris fills the whole frame. Inside the pupil a vast glowing nebula opens up, with swirling violet and gold gas clouds full of stars. The camera keeps flying forward through it into deep space. The final frames are a full-screen cosmic nebula, so the person leaves the shot entirely and the ending is a pure space image.

In our test runs on MiniMax H3, a woman with gold eyeshadow in a warm close-up had the camera push into her eye by second one, a swirling violet and gold nebula opened inside her pupil by second two, and from second three the shot flew on through it into deep space. In a second run, an older man with a white stubble beard and blue eyes in a black fedora had the camera push into one of his eyes by second one, a swirling violet and orange galaxy opened inside his pupil by second two, and from second three the shot flew on through it into deep space. In a third run, a woman in a black headscarf with dark eyeliner, lit by a teal side light, had the camera push into one of her green-brown eyes until the iris filled the frame by second two, a swirling violet and orange galaxy opened in her pupil, and from second four the shot flew through it into deep space.

Needs a close-up or clear portrait where an eye is large and sharp enough to zoom into. A face turned toward the camera works best. Photos where the eyes are small, shaded or hidden give the zoom nothing to land on, and the final frames contain no person at all, so this is not the effect for a clip that should end on the subject.

It runs on MiniMax H3 for five seconds by default, and H3 itself goes up to 15 seconds and 2K if you want more. Studio also lets you move the same prompt to another model before you generate, such as Seedance 2.0 or Wan 3.0, and the price on the Generate button updates with every change. Our samples were all made on MiniMax H3, so other models will read the prompt in their own way.

Great for title cards, intros, thumbnails and any edit that wants a jump from a face to a cosmic scene. Use it as a transition into your next clip.

Change "swirling violet and gold gas clouds" to "swirling teal and silver gas clouds" for a different palette, or change "vast glowing nebula" to "vast glowing galaxy" for a different space image.
