What this effect sends

This is the full prompt, word for word. Copy it, or open it in the generator and change anything you like.

The camera slides sideways on a track in one continuous move from left to right. Whatever is in the blurred foreground races across the edges of the frame, the person in the middle glides past at a lower speed, and the deep background stays almost fixed, giving strong layered parallax. The foreground only crosses the sides of the frame and never covers the face. The person turns their head to keep looking into the lens, and the move ends with them centered and sharp. The person stays exactly as they appear in the photo.

Pictures that work best

  • Choose a photo where something sits at the left or right edge, such as leaves or a doorframe. That is what races past the lens.
  • Keep the person in the middle third of the frame. The move ends with them centered, so extreme edge placement can crop awkwardly.
  • A background with distinct far objects, such as buildings or hills, shows off the layered effect.
  • Photos with a wide shot of the whole scene give the slide more room than tight portraits.

How it works

  1. 01

    Add one photo

Choose the photo to match the example: include both people for a shared gesture, and keep the face and any hands involved clearly visible. Upload your own photo or start with a Slider Parallax sample.

  2. 02

    Check the price

Slider Parallax defaults to a 5-second clip for $0.185. Swap the model or change the length and resolution before you run — the price on the button updates to match, and that's the whole cost of the clip.

  3. 03

    Generate

Your Slider Parallax clip renders in the background, lands in History and is never published.

Do the move yourself

Slider Parallax keeps one version of this shot. To give Slider Parallax your own motion or ending, write it yourself in Image to Video, starting from the prompt above.

What it does to your photo

The camera slides sideways on a track in one continuous move from left to right. Whatever is in the blurred foreground races across the edges of the frame, the person in the middle glides past at a lower speed, and the deep background stays almost fixed, giving strong layered parallax. The foreground only crosses the sides of the frame and never covers the face. The person turns their head to keep looking into the lens, and the move ends with them centered and sharp. The person stays exactly as they appear in your photo throughout.

In our test runs on MiniMax H3, a young man with shaggy black hair in an orange hooded windbreaker in a bamboo grove held the lens as the camera tracked sideways from half a second, blurred foreground stalks racing across the frame between second one and a half and three and a half while the far grove barely moved, and ended centred and sharp in a slightly closer shot.

Photos with clear layers work best: something near the camera at the edges, the person in the middle, and a distant background. Plants, railings, window frames and doorways make good foreground. A flat wall behind a person gives parallax only between the person and the camera. Group shots can split into several speeds, which is harder to read. The effect leaves the person exactly as they are in your photo and only adds the camera move.

It runs on MiniMax H3 for five seconds by default, and H3 itself goes up to 15 seconds and 2K if you want more. Studio also lets you move the same prompt to another model before you generate, such as Seedance 2.0 or Wan 3.0, and the price on the Generate button updates with every change. Our samples were all made on MiniMax H3, so other models will read the prompt in their own way.

Good for product-style portraits, travel and street photos, and any shot where you want depth rather than a zoom.

Open the prompt in the generator and change "from left to right" to "from right to left" to reverse the slide, or change "ends with them centered and sharp" to "ends with them framed to the left" for a more editorial finish.
