Continue a clip with Seedance 2.0 Spicy: the last frame of your video opens a new 4 to 15 second segment, and you get back one file with the original and the continuation joined, at 480p, 720p, 1080p or 4k.

    affects price
Size of the new segment: 480p, 720p, 1080p or 4k; default 720p. It sets the price tier. It only sets the quality of the new segment, so pick the setting that matches your source to keep both halves equally sharp. The joined file keeps your clip’s framing with no black bars; to line the seam up, the picture may be trimmed or adjusted by a few percent at the edges. If the model returns a noticeably different shape, the new segment is scaled to fill your frame and centered, cropping what spills over.
    Durationaffects price
Length of the new segment in whole seconds, 4 to 15, default 5, and the billed quantity. Your source is added on top and is not billed. Confirm the motion short before paying for a long segment. no lower than 4 · no higher than 15
    Generate audioaffects price
On by default, so the new segment comes with generated sound. Your source keeps its own sound either way; when one side is silent, the joined file is padded with silence. It sets the price tier.
Safety checkerOff

SpicyAPI does not run a safety checker on this model. Your prompt and media go to the model as written, and the model itself decides what comes back.

What it does

The frame is the brief

What the still shows is already in the clip

image_url is the only required field on this family. Wardrobe, pose, skin, steam and light all arrive with the picture before the prompt is read, which is why frame-driven work survives briefs that a blank page will not. The prompt is left free to direct motion instead of arguing for content.

Delivered in the shape you need

Adaptive by default, with six fixed ratios if you need them

Unlike the 2.5 Spicy family, this one publishes aspect_ratio, and it defaults to adaptive — the output keeps the geometry of your opening frame, so a portrait still stays portrait without cropping. Name 9:16, 1:1 or 21:9 only when a placement demands it, and check the subject is still inside the safe area.

Both ends of the shot

Choose where the clip ends, not just where it starts

last_image_url pins the final frame as well as the first, so the model has to arrive at a picture you chose. Send the same still twice and the clip opens and closes on it, which cuts into a seamless loop; send two different stills for a reveal or a change of look. It is accepted only together with image_url, and two stills that differ wildly in framing or light make the middle hard to steer.

Before you spend

image-to-video

This is the literal path, and the one to use when a prompt-only route gets refused: whatever the opening frame contains is already in the clip. Two boundaries to know before spending anything. last_image_url is accepted only alongside image_url and never on its own. And Seedance's own safety layer still runs in front of generation even here — kissing wording comes back rejected before a frame renders, while the same beat framed as a whisper at the ear or foreheads touching passes. Put the action in the frame rather than the sentence, or take that shot to a Wan family, which accepts the wording Seedance refuses.

all

Uncensored means we do not review your generations; it does not move responsibility. Adults only, licensed material, documented consent, no non-consensual imagery, no impersonation of a real person. Generated files are kept for 14 days, so copy anything you intend to keep into your own storage.

Where it fits

  • Footage other platforms refuse

Steam and condensation, close interiors, couples of any gender, first-person points of view: none of it is reviewed on our side. Put the content in the opening frame and Seedance 2.0 Spicy animates what the picture actually shows.

  • Companion clips that stay one person

Reuse a single opening still across a set and change only the prompt. The likeness travels in the frame rather than in a reference stack, so the character is the same person from clip to clip with nothing extra to keep in sync.

  • Vertical cuts for a paid feed

Leave aspect_ratio on adaptive and a 3:4 or 9:16 still comes back in its own shape, ready for a phone. Four to six seconds at 720p covers a feed tile; save 1080p or 4k for the piece behind the paywall.

  • An existing still set turned into motion

A shoot you already own becomes a reel: run every keeper at five seconds and 720p, discard the ones that move badly, then render the survivors longer and larger — each run is a fresh take, so keep the best of a couple. Nothing has to be re-shot, re-lit or re-approved.

How to call the Seedance 2.0 Spicy API

  1. 1. Put the content in the opening frame

Shoot it or generate it — the still on this page came from a text-to-image family in this same catalogue. Wardrobe, pose, light and framing all have to be right there, because resolution adds no detail the frame never had and the prompt cannot argue content into a picture that does not show it.

  2. 2. Describe the motion, not the picture

The clip on this page came from the still beside it and exactly this prompt: “She wipes a wider streak through the fogged mirror, steam curling back across the glass, then leans in closer to her reflection and exhales, the robe slipping a little further off her shoulder. Slow push toward the mirror, warm vanity bulbs, water dripping.” Five seconds, 720p, audio on. Nothing there describes the wardrobe — the frame already did.

  3. 3. Create it as an async task, then scale up what worked

Send an Idempotency-Key, keep the task id, and poll or take the callback. Draft at 720p and five seconds to check framing and motion. There is no seed, so a longer or larger run is a new take rather than an upscale of the draft: once the prompt reads right, render the final at 1080p or 4k and expect to pick from more than one.

The short version

Seedance 2.0 Spicy is the uncensored, frame-driven member of ByteDance's Seedance 2.0 line, published here as an image-to-video API plus a video-extend API. Send image_url and you get 4 to 15 seconds back at 480p, 720p, 1080p or 4K, in any of seven aspect ratios or adaptive, with a native soundtrack generated alongside the frames unless generate_audio is off. The prompt is optional, last_image_url gives the shot a defined ending. Billing is per second of generated video, so duration and resolution are the fields that move the price. We do not review what you generate; the only boundaries are the model's own, recorded above, plus rights and consent, which stay yours.
