Optional here, and that is the point: the opening frame already fixes what is on screen, so the prompt only has to direct movement — the action, where the eyes go, the camera drift, the room sound. Briefs are not reviewed on our side, but Seedance's own layer refuses a narrow band of wording, kissing most consistently. Put that beat in the frame instead of the sentence. at most 5000 characters

Required, and the only required field. It becomes the first frame, so composition, likeness, wardrobe, grade and the quality ceiling all come from it — a sharp, well-lit still beats any amount of prompt patching afterwards. It is also the reason this endpoint handles uncensored material dependably: content that is already in the picture does not have to be argued for in words. Each side must be between 300 and 6000 pixels; a smaller plate is rejected by the input check before you are charged.

Optional closing frame. It decides the picture the shot lands on: a transition, a before-and-after pair, or a loop that opens and closes on the same still. Keep camera and light steady between the two and change one clear state, or the middle of the clip turns into a cut. Each side must be between 300 and 6000 pixels; a smaller plate is rejected by the input check before you are charged.
affects price
Output resolution: 480p, 720p by default, 1080p or 4k. ByteDance's own Seedance 2.5 renders natively at most in 1080p, so the 4k tier here is delivered by an extra upscaling pass on top of that native render — it is upscaled output, not native 4K, and the extra pass makes the task slower than 1080p at the same length. Resolution selects a rate tier and governs the delivered format only — it adds no detail the first frame does not already have. Higher tiers mean bigger files and longer renders.
Durationaffects price
Length of the finished clip in whole seconds, 4 to 30, default 5, and the billed quantity — the charge scales directly with it. Thirty seconds is a lot to ask of one opening frame: confirm the motion short, then extend only what holds together. no lower than 4 · no higher than 30
Generate audioaffects price
Whether a native soundtrack is rendered in sync with the picture. On by default. Switch it off for silent loops, for material you will score in post, and whenever you are only checking framing.
Seed
Integer seed; omit it and each run draws its own. Fix it with everything else held constant to judge what a prompt edit actually changed. It is a comparison tool, not a promise of frame-identical repeats. no lower than 0 · no higher than 2147483647

Thirty seconds from one opening frame, with no aspect-ratio field to set

Turn a finished character portrait or an approved photograph into a moving shot. The image establishes the starting look; the prompt directs a turn, a glance, a camera move or the sound around it. Choose 4–30 seconds and 480p / 720p / 1080p / 4k. For NSFW character teasers and cinematic scenes, start with a clear image of adult characters and direct the performance from there.

What to create with Seedance 2.5 Spicy

Choose the format for the actual destination

Choose the format for the actual destination

Use 480p or 720p for a motion draft and 1080p for the finished render. The 4k tier adds an upscaling pass to the 1080p render for larger delivery files.

Useful ways to apply Seedance 2.5 Spicy

  • Build a character teaser around one clear beat

    Character creators

Build a character teaser around one clear beat

Direct an adult character’s glance, approach or small gesture. One camera move and a clear ending give a short NSFW teaser an understandable arc.

  • Give fabric, light and posture a visible role

    Fashion and editorial

Give fabric, light and posture a visible role

Choose the garment and lighting before writing motion. A turn toward the window, a curtain moving or a hand lifting a cup gives the viewer something specific to watch.

  • Make atmosphere part of the shot

    Sound-led scenes

Make atmosphere part of the shot

Name the sound source: rain on glass, room tone, footsteps or a brief line. Leave generated audio on for an audiovisual draft, or switch it off when you will add a track in editing.

  • Keep a reusable visual anchor

    Series and campaigns

    Keep a reusable visual anchor

Keep the successful still, prompt and settings together. Use that image for subsequent image-driven shots, or consistent references when the location changes. Review the middle of each clip as well as its first frame.

Make your first Seedance 2.5 Spicy clip

  1. Choose a clear opening and a purposeful ending

Crop the opening still for the final placement. Add a closing still only when its pose or composition matters; keep the lighting and camera relationship understandable between the two.

  2. Direct the change

Describe one action, its pace and one camera move. “She turns toward the lens as the camera slowly moves closer” gives the shot a clear instruction. Keep the face visible if identity is the main selling point.

  3. Choose five seconds and read the quote

Begin with a short take at a suitable draft resolution. After the direction works, increase length or output size one at a time and review the new quote.

  4. Keep the take that works

Watch the opening, middle and ending for face, hands, garment and set continuity. Save the inputs with the clip. Hold seed while comparing one edit; use a new seed when exploring a different take.

Choosing and using Seedance 2.5 Spicy

A prompt pattern you can use

Write: starting state → one action → camera movement → ending → sound. Give a longer take a visible sequence, not more adjectives. Set duration and resolution in the controls, then use the prompt to direct what the viewer should see.
