Introduction
FLUX.2 [max] Text to image is the top-quality model of Black Forest Labs' FLUX.2 family, released on 16 December 2025, generating images from a written prompt. It is built for photoreal people and light, legible text inside the image and colours set with hex values, at 1k or 2k in nine aspect ratios.

Key features & highlights
Photoreal people and light
Fabric sheen, skin texture, shallow depth of field and a named lens and light direction come through clearly. In our tests a backless silk gown at blue hour and a 1970s hotel corridor both read as photographs.
Text and hex colours
Quote each line of type and say where it sits. Our magazine-cover example rendered a masthead, cover lines and an issue line exactly as written, on a background set by a hex value.
Two size tiers, nine shapes
1k is about one megapixel and 2k reaches 2048 pixels on the long side, from square to 21:9 and 9:21. The shape does not change the price.

Prompt guide & pro tips
Write it like a photo brief
Subject, wardrobe, setting, lens, light direction and grade, as full sentences.
Quote and position all text
Every word that must appear goes in quotes with a position; unquoted words are treated as description.
Give colours as hex values
#0F5C4A for a gown or #4A0E1A for a backdrop is followed more closely than a colour name.
Keep to Mild-level scenes
The content filter lets Mild-level scenes through, usually tones down anything stronger, and refuses Very strong requests. Refused requests are not charged.
Expect 20 to 90 seconds
Most of our requests finished in that range; 2k and a busy queue take longer.
