    backstage-mirror-bulbs

The target deliberately seats two performers of different complexions under the same tungsten bulbs, because skin-tone matching is what this endpoint does on its own - there is no dial for it. `output_format` is set to `png` so the result goes into a grade without a lossy pass first, and `seed` is there if the pair needs re-running against the same draw. The bulb-lit mirror doubles every face, so a mismatch in tone or in edge shows up twice.

  • ponytail-to-red-hairOutput
    ponytail-to-red-hair

This is the call where Plus decides for you. The target's severe black ponytail is gone — the engine judged the whole head reads more naturally here, so the reference's red hair came across with the features. Compare it with the poolside example, where the same endpoint kept the hair and moved the face alone. The `prompt` field was set on this call and the result is indistinguishable from leaving it out; see the note on that parameter.

  • poolside-skin-toneOutput
    poolside-skin-tone

The same endpoint, the opposite decision: here the wet slicked-back hair stayed and only the face moved. Worth looking at for the other thing Plus does by itself — the reference was shot under soft studio light and the target under hard midday sun, and the skin tone was reconciled without being asked. A `prompt` was sent on this call too, with no visible effect.

  • club-curls-hairlineOutput
    club-curls-hairline

A hard edge case: a huge mane of curls, club haze and a magenta key from one side with a teal kicker from the other. The hairline here is where a swap usually gives itself away, and it is worth zooming in on rather than the middle of the face.

  • steam-room-beard-lineOutput
    steam-room-beard-line

A male subject in the set, and a lighting mix that is easy to get wrong: cool window daylight from one side, warm tungsten spill from behind, wet skin catching both. The beard line and the jaw are where to look.
