ByteDance supplies two of the most heavily used lines on the platform: Seedance for video and Seedream for images. Both arrive as several tiers rather than one model with a quality dial, and the tiers differ in clip length, resolution and rate rather than in how you write the brief.

Seedance 2.5 writes 4 to 30 seconds from a prompt, an opening frame, or a cast of up to 30 stills, 10 clips and 10 audio tracks, with sound rendered against the picture. Seedance 2.0 covers the same three tasks over 4 to 15 seconds and up to 4K, with Fast and Mini tiers for cheaper iteration. Seedance 1.5 Pro is the older, cheaper line and can lock the camera. On images, Seedream 5.0 Pro edits or assembles from one to ten references, Seedream 5.0 Lite delivers at named presets, and Seedream 4.0 offers sixteen width-by-height presets up to 4096 by 2304.

Use the Fast and Mini tiers while the shot is still being decided, then move the approved brief to the tier whose resolution matches the placement. Every Seedance tier also has a Spicy counterpart published as its own family, so the uncensored route is a different model page rather than a parameter on this one.
