Continue a clip with Wan 2.2 Spicy: the last frame of your video opens a new segment of exactly 5 or 8 seconds, and you get back one file with the original and the continuation joined, at 480p or 720p. An optional closing image pins where it ends.

    Durationaffects price
    58
Length of the new segment: exactly 5 or 8 seconds, default 5. Anything else is rejected rather than rounded. Your source is added on top and is not billed.
    affects price
Resolution the new segment is generated at: 480p or 720p, default 480p. Match your source’s resolution so the seam shows no step in sharpness. The joined MP4 keeps your clip’s frame rate and its framing, with no black bars. To line the seam up, the picture may be trimmed or adjusted by a few percent at the edges. If the model returns a noticeably different shape, the new segment is scaled to fill your frame and centered, cropping what spills over. It sets the price.
    Prompt expansionaffects price
Off by default. When on, the prompt is rewritten before generation — useful for a one-line brief, unhelpful once the motion description is precise. It adds a small flat charge to the price.

SpicyAPI does not run a safety checker on this model. Your prompt and media go to the model as written, and the model itself decides what comes back.

Image-to-video and video-extend: an opening frame or a clip to continue in, a five or eight second clip out.
Clip length
5/8S
Exactly five or eight seconds per call; any other value is rejected.

OPT-IN
Off by default; turn it on to have a one-line brief rewritten before generation.

Image-to-video accepts an optional last_image_url to pin the ending.

Hold the seed to compare runs. It steadies the draw, but an identical clip is not guaranteed.

What it does

Uncensored

There is no content flag to set

There is no flag to set, no per-request declaration and no review step. The clip continues whatever the opening frame shows and whatever the prompt asks for.

Start from a still

The opening frame carries the body and the light

The image beside this text is the opening frame for the clip on this page: a woman stretching on a bench in an empty gym at dawn. Because the plate already holds the wardrobe, the sweat and the shaft of window light, the prompt only had to describe her straightening up and catching her breath.

Before you spend

image-to-video

image_url and prompt are both required, and the frame does the heavy lifting — wardrobe, body, set and the clip's shape are inherited, so write motion only. last_image_url is optional and pins the ending, which is what makes a seamless loop possible. duration_seconds accepts 5 or 8 and nothing else.

all

Two endpoints at 480p or 720p, with fixed 5 or 8 second lengths and no aspect-ratio field. You are responsible for consent, rights, age and local law for everyone depicted and for every file you upload or link. The platform does not screen content. Public pages and examples stay suitable for general viewing.

Where it fits

  • Uncensored clips refused by other video APIs

Wording that competing video APIs stop at the content filter goes through here. Send the plate, describe the motion, get the clip; there is no filter and no declaration to fill in.

  • Companion characters, beat by beat

Use the same character plate as the opening frame for every beat, so the person, the wardrobe and the room carry over from clip to clip. Each beat is approved at 480p before the 720p pass is paid for, so a long scene never turns into one expensive unusable render.

  • Loops for feeds and previews

Five seconds at 480p from a 9:16 plate is a loop that autoplays cleanly and stays small. Pin the ending with last_image_url on the opening frame's composition and the loop closes back on itself without a visible cut.

  • Fitness and body-focused campaigns

Sweat, breath and low raking light are exactly what the reference clip on this page tests. Render at 720p when the spot will be cropped, and hold the seed so a set of variants from one plate stays comparable.

How to call the Wan 2.2 Spicy API

  1. 1. Crop the opening frame to the delivery shape

There is no aspect-ratio field, so the clip takes the still's proportions. The plate also fixes the person, the wardrobe, the set and the light direction — everything the prompt does not have to say.

  2. 2. Describe only what moves

One action, one camera behaviour, one note on light or sound. This is the exact text behind the clip on this page, run at duration_seconds 5: “She lowers her leg off the bench, rolls her shoulders back and straightens up, wiping sweat from her collarbone with the back of her wrist, chest rising as she catches her breath. Dawn light shifts across the concrete, dust drifting in the beam.”

  3. 3. Approve at 480p, then render at 720p

Submit with an Idempotency-Key and keep the task id. Find the take at 480p first; once it is right, hold the seed and re-render at 720p. Approving a cheap draft before paying for the sharper pass is the point of splitting the work this way.

The short version

Wan 2.2 Spicy is the uncensored video family in Alibaba's Wan 2.2 line, published on this platform as two endpoints, image-to-video and video-extend. It turns a required opening frame and prompt into exactly 5 or 8 seconds at 480p or 720p, with an optional last_image_url that pins the ending and makes a seamless loop possible. There is no aspect-ratio field — the clip inherits the frame's shape — and no content declaration. Tasks are asynchronous and billed per second of delivered video in US dollars.
