Safety checkerOff

SpicyAPI does not run a safety checker on this model. Your prompt and media go to the model as written, and the model itself decides what comes back.

What it does

Frame-first

Your frame decides the content, not a text filter

Because the only input path is an opening frame, this family does not have the usual gap between what you asked for and what a text prompt is willing to render. Whatever is in the still - wardrobe, body, pose, framing - is what animates. The prompt handles movement, camera and sound on top of it.

Optional prompt

A still on its own is a complete request

Prompt is not required here. Send an image and the model infers a plausible small movement from it, which is often all a loop needs. Add text when you want a specific beat - a turn toward camera, a garment sliding, a change of expression - and keep it to what happens rather than re-describing the frame.

Pipeline shape

Pair it with an uncensored image model

The practical workflow is two calls: generate the still with an uncensored image model, then animate it here. That splits the problem in half - composition and content are settled in a cheap image pass you can re-roll quickly, and the video pass only has to get the motion right.

Before you spend

image-to-video

The opening frame is followed closely and is the whole point of this family - your stills come through as supplied. The prompt is optional; when you use one, keep it to movement, because instructions that contradict the frame make the clip negotiate between them. A closing frame may only be sent alongside an opening frame and constrains the ending, not the middle. Resolution defaults to 480p, the cheapest of the four tiers; 540p, 768p and 1080p are open too, so set one explicitly for anything you intend to deliver.

all

This family publishes image-to-video and video-extend - there is no text, reference or edit task, and no text-only entry point. Video-extend continues a clip from its last frame. Requests are asynchronous: create a task, then poll or take the callback. You must own the rights to every frame you upload, everyone depicted must be an adult, and you are responsible for how the output is used.

Where it fits

  • Uncensored scenes other APIs reject

Source frames are accepted and animated as supplied, with no content filter. Clips that hosted video APIs refuse at the prompt filter run here, and because the content lives in the frame rather than the text, the result matches what you approved instead of a softened re-interpretation.

  • Companion and roleplay clips

One character still becomes a library of short reactions: a look up, a smile, a shoulder turn, hair pushed back. Keep the same opening frame and vary only the prompt, and the character stays consistent across every clip in the set.

  • Animating an existing photo set

A shoot you already own turns into motion without a reshoot. Each frame becomes a 3 to 15 second clip, and a closing frame lets a pair of stills from the same set define the start and the end of one move.

  • Loops for a paid feed

Three seconds at 480p is cheap enough to generate variants in bulk, pick the two that read best, and re-run those at 768p. Keep the prompt and the opening frame identical so the comparison between a 480p draft and its 768p version stays meaningful.

How to call the MiniMax H3 Spicy API

  1. Make the opening frame first

Settle wardrobe, body, pose and framing in an image pass, because that still is what the video will contain. A frame that is already right needs no argument with the prompt afterwards.

  2. Write only the movement

Describe the beat, the camera and the sound - not the frame. A working prompt looks like this: "She exhales a slow plume of smoke against the rain-streaked glass, the neon sign outside pulses red across her face, and she turns her head toward camera without changing expression. Blind shadows creep, rain runs down the window, distant traffic." Set duration_seconds and raise resolution to 768p or 1080p when you are past drafting.

  3. Draft cheap, finish once

Generate several three-second variants at 480p, choose one, then re-run it at 768p or 1080p with a longer duration. Add a closing frame only when the clip has to land on a known composition.

The short version

MiniMax H3 Spicy is a LoRA build based on MiniMax H3 - not a model MiniMax sells under its own name - published as an uncensored image-to-video endpoint, with video-extend alongside it to continue a clip from its last frame. An opening frame is required and is followed closely, an optional closing frame pins the ending, and the prompt - itself optional - directs movement, camera and sound. Clips run 3 to 15 whole seconds at 480p, 540p, 768p or 1080p, with audio generated alongside the picture. Because the content is carried by the frame rather than by text, uncensored material comes through as supplied, which makes the usual pattern a two-step pipeline: generate the still with an uncensored image model, then animate it here. Tasks are asynchronous and billed per second of output.
