Red Ink Noir is a manga page with the lights turned down. Everything is drawn in black ink: solid blacks that fill whole walls, screentone in the shadows, rain cut in fine diagonal strokes. Then one thing glows red, a paper lantern hanging nearby, and it becomes the only color in the frame. The contrast does the storytelling, and the mood is slow and brooding.
You write the subject; the style brings the ink, the rain and the single red light. It flatters people in dark clothes and quiet poses: someone seated at a rain-streaked window in a black dress, a man in a dark shirt under a lantern, a cat on a wet sill. Glossy fabric and wet surfaces pick up the brightest highlights, and the red gives the eye somewhere to land.
Use it for comic covers, crime and romance stories, character portraits, posters and anything that should look printed rather than painted. For color neon through window blinds, try Late-Night OVA; for 1990s romance manga in full color, Moonlit Romance; for a black-and-white photograph with a red accent instead of ink, Noir Rouge.
The frame is 3:4, the shape of a manga page. After Dark looks are text-to-image only. The look is tuned for Anima Turbo, an anime model from CircleStone Labs with no content filter. It also runs on Anima Turbo LoRA with up to three of your own LoRAs, and on the other image models in the list, each with a version of the prompt written for it. We never filter your prompt.
Subjects to paste as they are: “an adult woman in a black satin slip dress, seated by a rain-streaked window”, “an adult man in a dark shirt standing under a paper lantern”, “a cat on a wet windowsill at night”. Dark clothing and rain make the ink do the most.
