Pose Changer takes two photos: the person to re-pose (image_url) and a photo of the pose to copy (reference_image_url). Arms, legs, head tilt and gaze come from the reference; face and outfit stay with the first person. It runs Qwen-Image-Edit-2511 with the AnyPose LoRAs by lilylilith and the author's own instruction, so a prompt is optional.

The verdict

The catch is that the model was trained to put the person into the pose photo, so the background and clothing can follow the reference unless you say otherwise.

Key facts

  • Input: image_url and reference_image_url (JPEG, PNG or WebP, up to 10 MB each); optional prompt, aspect_ratio, seed, output_format.
  • Output: one image per request.
  • Speed: our runs took 11 to 20 seconds.
  • Price: flat per image; see the model page.

What we liked and what held it back

What we liked

  • The LoRAs earn their place. With the same two photos, instruction and seed, the base model put the dancer from the pose photo into the first scene; with the LoRAs the woman took the dancer's pose.
  • One sentence keeps your scene. "Remove the background of image 2, and replace it with the background of image 1." kept the salt-flat and study backgrounds in each of our tries.
  • Outfit and face hold with a matching reference. With a same-gender reference and the background line, clothing and background were kept.

What held it back

  • A mismatched reference drags the face. Copying a woman's pose onto a man in a suit pulled his face toward hers; with a male reference it held.
  • Clothing can bleed. Grey sweatpants from the pose photo showed up under a satin dress once. Name the outfit to keep, for example "She keeps her emerald satin dress."
  • One full-body person per photo. Group shots and very technical yoga poses confuse it.
  • Photos over drawings. Real-person pose references gave the cleanest results; the author notes flat 2D art styles are weak.

What the results look like

The model page shows two cases: a suited man re-posed seated on a stool in a library, and a woman leaning back on a salt flat, both with the background line added. Of our six pose runs, four were good and two were discarded: the mismatched-gender one and the sweatpants one above.

Prompts that worked

1. Keep your own background. Used in both published examples.

text
Remove the background of image 2, and replace it with the background of image 1.

If the outfit might drift, add a second sentence naming it.

How far the content goes

We tested Pose Changer with AI-generated images of a fictional adult at two content levels, the second being our toughest check for these tools. Both completed with no refusal and no replacement.

Alternatives

  • New viewpoint instead of a new pose? Camera Angle Changer moves the camera around the same scene.
  • Swap the person, keep the shot? Face Swap replaces the face.
